How to do homework in The Sims 4

Select the child or teen, open their inventory, and click the homework book. Choose Do Homework. An adult Sim can click the student and choose Help with Homework to make it faster. When the student has a B or better, click the book again after finishing to do Extra Credit. This is in the base game.

Passos

Select the child or teen Sim in Live Mode.
Open the Sim's inventory. Children and teens get a homework book there automatically.
Click the homework book and choose Do Homework.
To pick the spot, drag the book from the inventory into the house. Then click it and choose Do Homework.
To speed it up, select an adult Sim, click the student while they work, and choose Help with Homework.
When the homework is done, click the book again. If the Sim has a B or better, choose the extra credit option.

How homework affects grades

Skipping homework or handing in unfinished homework lowers grades. School works like a career: homework is an extra task that raises performance.

To raise grades more, send the Sim to school in a good mood with needs met. Children can also level up their Mental, Motor, Creativity and Social skills. As grades go up, the option changes to Breeze Through Homework and later Dominate Homework, which are faster.

Parenthood: children and teens bring home school projects on Mondays. Place the project in the world and click it to work on it. Other Sims can help.

High School Years: you can follow your teen to school for the school day, with classes, lunch, exams and detention.

Discover University: university students have homework for every class, plus papers and presentations. The Study Spot lot trait makes homework faster. My First Pet Stuff: children can choose Study Rodent with a hamster or rodent pet to do homework.

Common problems

My Sim's homework is missing

Check the household inventory in Build Mode and the lot where your Sim last was. If it is gone, buy a new one: click a bookcase, choose Purchase Books and pick homework. Sims do not get new homework at school.

I sold the homework by mistake

Homework sells for 1 Simoleon. Buy a new book from a bookcase with Purchase Books.

Homework takes too long

Have an adult choose Help with Homework. Keep the Sim in a good mood, because a bad mood makes homework slower.

My Sim cannot do another Sim's homework

Each book belongs to one Sim. Make sure you select the Sim whose book it is.
