How to age down a Sim in The Sims 4

Open the cheat console (Ctrl + Shift + C on PC, Cmd + Shift + C on Mac) and type cas.fulleditmode. Open Manage Households, select the household and click the pencil icon. In Create a Sim, select the Sim and pick a younger age. The Potion of Youth does not change the life stage. It only resets the current one.

In Live Mode, press Ctrl + Shift + C (PC) or Cmd + Shift + C (Mac) to open the cheat console.
Tipo cas.fulleditmode and press Enter. Close the console.
Open Manage Worlds, then Manage Households. Select the Sim's household.
Click the pencil icon to edit the household in Create a Sim.
Select the Sim. Use the age selector in the top left and pick a younger age, for example Young Adult instead of Elder.
Click the checkmark to save and go back to the game.

Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 (PlayStation) or LB + LT + RB + RT (Xbox) together to open the cheat console.

What the Potion of Youth does

The Potion of Youth costs 1,500 Satisfaction Points in the Rewards Store. It takes the Sim back to the first day of their current life stage. It does not make an elder an adult. Buy it again each time you want to reset the stage.

Another way into Create a Sim

On PC and Mac you can also type testingcheats true, then cas.fulleditmode. Shift-click the Sim and choose Modify in CAS. Change the age there.

Common problems

The age selector does not offer a younger age

Full edit mode is not on. Type cas.fulleditmode again before you open Create a Sim.

The Sim is still an elder after the Potion of Youth

That is normal. The potion only resets the current life stage. Use cas.fulleditmode in Create a Sim to change the stage.

Modify in CAS is not in the Shift-click menu

Tipo testingcheats true first, then Shift-click the Sim again. Or use the Manage Households route, which needs no Shift-click.

You do not have 1,500 Satisfaction Points

Tipo testingcheats true, then sims.give_satisfaction_points 5000 to add points to the active Sim.
