How to make a toast in The Sims 4
Give your Sim and the other Sim a drink, and make sure both are standing. Click the other Sim, then choose More Choices, Friendly, Make a Toast. The Sims should be friends. An adult toast completes the birthday party goal Have an Adult Make a Toast. This is base game.

- Throw a party with the phone, or go to a party, and invite your Sim's friends.
- Get drinks for your Sim and the Sims you want to toast. Order them from a bar or serve them.
- Make sure your Sim and the other Sim both hold a drink and both stand. Sitting Sims put their drinks down.
- Select your adult Sim.
- Click the Sim you want to toast to.
- Choose More Choices, then Friendly, then Make a Toast.

Island Living has its own Kava toast. Your Sim and at least one other Sim must hold a Kava drink, then you use the Friendly menu.
With My Wedding Stories, players report that you can click the champagne bucket at a wedding and choose a Sim to give the toast.
Common problems
Make a Toast is not in the menu
Both Sims must stand and hold a drink. If one Sim sits down, they put the drink down and the option goes away.
You click Make a Toast and nothing happens
Check that the other Sims also hold their drinks. Order drinks for the whole group, then try again.
The toast option is missing for one Sim
The two Sims should be friends. Chat with the Sim first to raise the friendship.
The birthday goal Have an Adult Make a Toast does not complete
The toast must come from an adult Sim. Plan the party as an event with the phone so the goals track.
