AltLife – Life Simulator, explained

AltLife – Life Simulator is a free text life sim for phones. You live one life from birth to death, one year at a time. When your character dies, you continue as your child.

One person makes the game. On the App Store, the seller is Mark Benyei. On Google Play, the developer name is QmzApps, and the package is com.QmzApps.LifeStory. The Google Play page gives the developer as Bényei Márk, in Hungary. The App Store subtitle is “Career, Love, Crime & Fame”.

AltLife plays like BitLife. You tap to age up, read what happens, and pick what to do next. Many players come to it from BitLife, and we list it in our jogos como BitLife guide. This post goes deeper on AltLife itself.

You read this on the LifeSim blog. We make LifeSim, a different kind of life sim. We say where it fits near the end, and where it does not.

You age up one year at a time and make choices about each part of your life. The game has no timers, the App Store page says. The Google Play page tags it as an offline, single-player game.

The Google Play page lists these parts of the game:

• Jobs and careers. The page says there are hundreds of jobs, from a part-time shift to running a company.
• Fighter career. You train at camp and pick boxing, kickboxing or MMA. Then you fight live and climb the rankings.
• Social media fame. On Utoob, you film, edit and post videos and grow a channel. On Instafame, you build a following and get sponsor deals.
• Inventor career. You build a lab, make prototypes and sell what you invent. A hit can put you on the Forbz rich list.
• Crime and prison. A street fight can end in prison. You can join a crew, take prison jobs and plan an escape.
• Dating, marriage and family. You go on dates, move in together, plan a wedding and have children.
• Pets. You can adopt dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles and exotic pets, and enter them in pet shows.
• Money. You invest in stocks and crypto, buy rental property, and buy cars, private jets and helicopters.

The page also says people in the game remember what you did. A news app and the rich list write stories about you.

What is new in AltLife version 50?

Version 50 is the latest version on both stores. The App Store page shows it on October 28. The Google Play page shows an update on October 23, 2026. The developer calls it “the biggest AltLife update ever”.

Version 50 added the fighter, creator and inventor careers. It also changed love and family, prison and law, and pets. It added gigs, taxes and a new look for the screens.

Yes, AltLife is free to download and play. It shows ads. Both stores also list in-app purchases.

The US App Store page listed these purchases when we checked. Prices can change, and they differ by country.

• No Ads.
• Premium Membership (Permanent).
• Ultimate AltLife Bundle.
• Inventor Career, Utoob Career and Fighter Career, each at a “Member Price”.
• Supreme Offspring.
• Life Points, in packs of 250, 750 and 2,000.

The membership name says “Permanent”. We found no subscription in the list. The three careers show a “Member Price”, which suggests that members pay less. We did not find the price for a player with no membership.

Some players say the game now asks for more money. One App Store review from October 29 calls it “play to pay”. That reviewer says the game asked for payment to continue after an update. We could not check this ourselves.

AltLife is on Windows through Google Play Games on PC. We found no Mac version and no browser version.

PC com Windows

Google has an AltLife page in its Google Play Games for PC store. The game is the same QmzApps game, with the same 1M+ downloads. You install Google Play Games on PC first, then install AltLife from it. Our post on BitLife no PC gives the steps and the system needs for Google Play Games.

Mac

The App Store page lists iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Vision. It does not list Mac. BitLife is different: its App Store page lists a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later.

Navegador

We found no official AltLife website and no web version. If you want a life sim with no download, see life sims you can play in a browser.

BitLife is bigger and has more content. AltLife is a smaller game from one developer, with careers that BitLife does not have, like the live fighter mode. The table compares the store facts.

App Store Tracker, in a page updated May 25, 2026, calls AltLife one of the strongest BitLife alternatives. It also says the AltLife content library and special scenarios are smaller than BitLife’s.

Most store reviews are good, and many compare AltLife with BitLife. The common complaints are bugs, crashes and lost saves.

What players like

• A Google Play review from September 12, 2026 says the choice you pick “is what actually happens in your story”.
• The same reviewer left BitLife because of the ads and the prices.
• A Google Play review from July 24, 2026 says the game is harder than BitLife. It says the relationships have more detail.
• An App Store review from July 17, 2025 says the game has few ads and likes the social media parts.

What players do not like

• A Google Play review from May 14, 2026 says the game twice reset the character back by years.
• The same reviewer says you cannot ask out classmates and you have no co-workers.
• An App Store review from April 16 reports frequent crashes and says the game seemed abandoned.

The developer answered that April review. The reply said updates were slow because one person makes the game. Version 50 came out later in the year.

We looked for AltLife threads on Reddit and for an official Discord server. We could not open Reddit, and we found no official Discord server.

AltLife is not a game for young children. The App Store rates it 13+. Google Play rates it Mature 17+.

The App Store lists violence, profanity or crude humor, and mature or suggestive themes. It also lists alcohol, tobacco or drug references. It also lists sexual content or nudity, and guns or other weapons. Google Play lists suggestive themes, use of drugs, language and simulated gambling.

Both stores say the game has ads and in-app purchases. The App Store privacy label says the game can use location, identifiers and usage data to track you. The Google Play page says the game may share location data with third parties.

The game has a crime and prison part. Read the store age labels before a teen plays.

No. AltLife Sim – Life Simulator is a different game from a different developer. Its Google Play developer is Bountiful Games, LLC, and its package is com.bountifulgames.altlife.

In AltLife Sim, you can type your own choice when the buttons do not show what you want. The QmzApps store pages do not list this feature.

AltLife Sim shows 100K+ downloads and a rating of 4.4 on Google Play. It is rated Mature 17+, and its page says “Users Interact”. It has ads and in-app purchases. Its Google Play page shows Android and Windows. Check the developer name before you install, because the two names are very close.

LifeSim fits if you want a slower life with real people to talk to. It does not fit if you want a whole life in a few minutes.

LifeSim is a free AI life sim. You live one life in a real city on a 3D map of Earth. You talk to people in your own words, and they answer. It runs in the browser at play.lifesim.com and on iPhone.

AltLife is a fast text game. You tap through a year in seconds and start a new life often. LifeSim has no year-by-year age button. It has no Android app, no PC app and no console version. • The year of some App Store dates. The page shows “Oct 28” for version 50 and “Apr 16” for one review, with no year.
• The first release date of AltLife. Neither store page shows it.
• The price of the three careers for a player with no membership. The App Store lists only the member price.
• The claim in one review that the game asks for payment to continue after an update.
• Reddit threads about AltLife. Reddit did not load for us.
• An official AltLife website or Discord server. We found none.
• Whether AltLife runs on an Apple silicon Mac. The App Store page does not list Mac.
