How to age up in inZOI

Yes. Since the v0.7.0 update of March 26, 2026, a Zoi ages up on its birthday. The Zoi blows out the candles at a birthday party, or it spends the birthday alone. The v0.7.3 hotfix also names a Grow Up interaction that ages a Zoi at once.

Older guides from 2025 say that you cannot age up a Zoi by hand. Those guides came before the birthday update. Krafton changes the aging rules often, so check the date of each guide that you read.

You read this on the LifeSim blog. We make a life sim that runs in the browser, and we say where our game does not fit.

A Zoi moves to the next life stage on its birthday. The official v0.7.0 notes give two ways to finish the birthday:

• The Zoi blows out the candles during a birthday party social event.
• The Zoi spends the birthday alone and blows out no candles.

The same update added a calendar with 28 days in each month. The calendar shows holidays, birthdays, and the due dates of pregnant Zois. The update also added birthday parties as social events.

Age up a Zoi before its birthday

The v0.7.3 hotfix of April 7, 2026 fixed a bug with the No Aging option. The notes say that the Grow Up interaction and the interaction to extinguish birthday candles now age the Zoi. This happens even when you disable aging in the options.

So you can stop aging in the options and then age up one Zoi when you are ready. A player on the inZOI forum suggested this plan in July 2026. The player did not test it. The notes do not say where the Grow Up interaction appears in the game.

The sources disagree. Most give a maximum of about 100 in-game days. The length of each life stage changed in more than one patch, and no official page that we opened lists the current days.

Gamepressure published this list of nine life stages on March 31, 2025. It gives the day range of each stage and says that Zois can live up to 100 days.

Where the numbers disagree

• A Steam player quoted an older guide in April 2025. That list gives Young Adult 9 days, Adult 20 days, and Middle Age 16 days. The total is less than 100 days.
• A forum player wrote in August 2025 that a Zoi needed about 40 days to reach Young Adult. The same player gave 15 days for Teen and 10 days each for Adult, Middle-Aged, and Senior.
• The same player said that many Seniors die 2 or 3 days after they reach that stage.
• A forum reply for version 0.4.5 gives about 15 days for a new teen and about 10 days from child to adolescent.

When can a Zoi die of old age?

The April 1, 2025 hotfix changed the rules so that only Senior Zois can die of natural causes. The notes say that this applied only to Zois from a New Game. The April 15, 2025 patch changes the lifespan of a Zoi each time you resume the game. Krafton did this to stop repeated deaths at the same age.

Use the two aging settings in the game options. The April 4, 2025 patch added them. Follow these steps:

1. Open Game Options.
2. Select the Simulation tab.
3. Find Aging (My Zois). This setting controls the Zois that you play.
4. Find Aging (Other Zois). This setting controls the other Zois in the city.
5. Disable one setting or both.

Check the settings after each update

In November 2025, a forum player found that two Zois aged with aging off. Another player said that the October update reset the settings, including the aging setting. Check the Simulation tab again after each patch.

In March 2026, more players reported Zois that aged with aging disabled. Forum staff said on April 1, 2026 that the v0.7.2 hotfix fixed the issue.

Stop the aging of one Zoi with a cheat

The forum players name the cheat stopAging true. Two players wrote in August 2026 that it stops the aging of one specific Zoi. They said that it stays on after you save and reload. Open the cheat console with Ctrl+Shift+C. You must first enable cheats in the Psyguide. Read our full list of inZOI cheats before you use it.

Yes, in real time. The Length of Day setting changes how many real minutes one game day lasts. A Zoi still needs the same number of game days to age up.

Gamepressure gives the path: Game Options, then Simulation, then Length of Day. The default day lasts 96 real minutes. A forum reply lists four choices:

• 48 minutes
• 96 minutes (the default, per Gamepressure)
• 4 horas
• 24 hours

A longer day gives you more real time with each life stage. A forum player pointed out the limit in August 2025. The Zoi still ages after the same number of days, so a long day does not give more seasons in each stage.

The aging speed setting

The game now has a separate aging speed setting. The v0.8.0 notes of April 29, 2026 say that the game options now show the number of days next to each aging speed setting. We did not find the patch that added the setting.

A forum player wrote in July 2026 that the setting uses preset choices. The player wanted to type a custom number of days. For each patch that changed aging, see our inZOI patch notes summary.

You choose the life stage when you make a new Zoi in Create a Zoi. You cannot change the age of a Zoi in play from the normal menus. Our guide on editing a Zoi after you create it lists the age as a fixed item.

Not every stage is in Create a Zoi. A forum reply says that you cannot make an adolescent there. The reply suggests that you make a child and let it age up, which takes about 10 days. A child needs an adult in the household, so add a parent.

Change the age of a Zoi in play with cheats

A forum player posted these steps on September 12, 2025. They use cheats and save the Zoi as a preset.

1. Make a new save, so that you can go back.
2. Enable cheats in the Psyguide.
3. Select the Zoi, and open the console with Ctrl+Shift+C.
4. Tipo showZoiInfo true and write down the Zoi ID.
5. Tipo CustomZoi <ZoiID> to open Create a Zoi. Save the Zoi as a preset.
6. Exit to the lobby. Open Create a Zoi again and apply the preset.
7. Change the life stage. Change the everyday outfit, so that you can tell the two versions apart.
8. Save the whole Zoi as a preset. Exit to the lobby and reload the save.
9. Tipo CustomZoi <ZoiID> again. Apply the new preset, which is first in the list. Save, then reload the game.

The author wrote in August 2026 that this method changes the look and the life stage only. It cannot set an exact age. Another player found that the Zoi kept its place inside the life stage.

Is there a SetZoiAge cheat?

We found no proof of one. A forum post of September 4, 2025 lists AgeUP, AgeDOWN, and SetZoiAge. The post is in the Wishlist category, so these are requests and not working cheats.

Most players ask for slower aging and for a length control for each life stage. These are the main threads that we read.

• “Zoi aging is way to fast” (Steam, April 3, 2025). A player went from young adult to adult in about 9 days. Players asked for sliders and for short, normal, and long lifespans. The last reply says that the April 4 update added a Disable Aging option.
• “A way to extend the life of my zois without disabling aging all together” (Steam, April 4, 2025). Players said that no native option existed. They suggested two workarounds: turn aging off and on, or use a mod from Nexus. One player asked for a manual age-up cake. One player said that the health settings extend aging a little.
• “Let us adjust individual Zoi life stage lengths” (inZOI forum, from August 2025). Players asked for a slider for each stage. In July 2026, players said that the aging speed setting now exists. Some still want custom days for each stage.
• “how many days until age up?” (inZOI forum). The game shows no exact count of days to the next stage. The replies give estimates for each stage.

No. LifeSim has no aging toggles, no life stage settings, and no birthday age-up. LifeSim does not fit here. If you want to control how fast a family grows old, stay with inZOI.

• The patch that added the aging speed setting, and the names and day counts of its choices.
• Where the Grow Up interaction appears in the game, and which Zois can use it.
• The full list of life stages in Create a Zoi. The sources that we opened do not agree.
• The Aging and Life Span Settings page on thegameswiki.com. It did not load for us, so we used none of its facts.
• The exact effect of the health settings on lifespan. Only one Steam player mentions it.
