The short answer
1 in 8 Billion is a free browser game at 1in8b.life. You are born as one of the babies born right now, in a country drawn by real births, and you live that one life to its end. Games like it are BitLife, CoreLife, Echoes, 100 Years, and AltLife. LifeSim is a different take: one life in a real city, with people who remember you.
What is 1 in 8 Billion?
1 in 8 Billion is a free life simulation in the browser, at 1in8b.life. In Korean it is 80억 분의 1, and in Japanese 80億分の1. It came out on October 5, 2026, and its makers say it is now in 18 languages.
You don't choose who you are. You are born as one of the babies born on Earth right now, and the place is drawn by the real number of births in 172 countries and territories. So a birth in India or Nigeria is far more likely than a birth in Korea or Germany. Then you live that one life to its end. Each year you pick a focus, and you make choices about school, work, love, moving, and health. The choices change the odds, but the statistics of the place you were born keep pulling.
A whole life takes about 30 minutes, an hour, or an hour and a half, as you choose. Its numbers come from public data, such as the UN World Population Prospects 2024 and the World Bank. There is no sign-up and no ads. Your lives stay in your browser.
A note before the list
We make LifeSim, and LifeSim is not a birth lottery. So most of this list is other people's games: life sims that also go from birth to the end, a year at a time. We put LifeSim last, as a different take, and we say where each game fits.

A different take: LifeSim
1 in 8 Billion is about chance: where you are born shapes most of what follows, and a whole life goes by in about an hour. LifeSim is about the people around you. You choose who you are and any real city on a 3D map of Earth. The people there have names, homes, and jobs, they answer what you type in your own words, and they remember what you did. A day passes at a time, and the life lasts as long as you want.
It is free in the browser and on iPhone, with no ads. The game is in English for now.
Your first week in LifeSim
You pick a city. Any city, on a real map of Earth. You give your character a name and a reason to be there. Then you step out onto a real street, and there are people on it.
They’re not waiting for you. They have jobs to get to, homes to go back to, friends they see on Fridays. Say hi to one of them, in your own words, and they answer in theirs. Tell them something and they keep it. Tell their friend something and it gets around.
By the end of the week you have a place you go in the mornings, someone you’re avoiding, and someone you’re not. One player once stayed for thirteen hours straight. We checked.
LifeSim is a free game, in the browser and on iPhone. No ads and nothing to buy. Season 1 is in beta.
