What are the best challenges for The Sims 4?

The best known are the Legacy Challenge, Not So Berry, the 100 Baby Challenge, Rags to Riches, the Decades Challenge, and the Asylum Challenge. Players made all of them. EA does not run them.

Pick by the length that you want. Rags to Riches and Asylum focus on one main Sim. The other four follow a family for many generations.

How do you set the start money for a challenge?

Many challenges start with a fixed amount of money. Use the cheat box. On PC and Mac, press Ctrl + Shift + C. On PlayStation and Xbox, hold all four shoulder buttons.

Then type money [number]. For example, type money 0 for Rags to Riches. Most challenges allow only this cheat and a few others, so read the rules first. For the full list of codes, read Sims 4 cheats.

What are the rules of the Legacy Challenge?

The site of Pinstar has rules for The Sims 2, 3, and 4. For The Sims 4, make one young adult founder, who lives alone. Move onto an empty lot, and set the money to §1,800 with the money cheat. Then play 10 generations.

Succession laws decide who becomes the next heir. A score sheet gives points for goals, such as one point when every skill reached the top level. Both are on separate pages of the site. Harder starts give bonus points.

What are the rules of Not So Berry?

Kayla (lilsimsie) and Zoë (alwaysimming) made this legacy challenge. Each of the 10 heirs shows one color in hair, makeup, or clothes. The order is mint, rose, yellow, gray, plum, orange, pink, peach, green, and blue.

Each heir has set traits, a career, and an aspiration. Complete both before the next heir takes over. Keep the lifespan on normal. Use money cheats only a little.

What are the rules of the 100 Baby Challenge?

Snarky Witch wrote the Sims 4 version. The first version was for The Sims 2, by Amiisays. A single young adult mother has 100 babies. Each father is used only once, and he does not help the household.

The mother cannot marry while she can have children. You cannot pick the gender, and you cannot hire a nanny. Traits are random. Cheats are not allowed, with a few exceptions. When the mother is an elder, a daughter continues.

What are the rules of Rags to Riches?

SimishGamer posted this challenge on Mod The Sims in March 2015 and updated it in June 2025. Move one Sim onto an empty lot. Remove all the money with a cheat. The Sim sleeps in public places until it owns a bed.

Earn money first from hobbies, such as painting or gardening. You unlock a home, a job, and a family in steps. To win, own a house worth §100,000 and have §200,000 in the bank. Cheats are allowed only to reset a Sim, remove money, or move objects.

What are the rules of the Decades Challenge?

ZombieCleo made the challenge. kakeru_naruse changed the rules, and CuteCoffeeGal hosts the current version. Start in the 1890s with one Sim or a married couple, and play forward decade by decade.

Each decade limits the careers, aspirations, and objects that you can use. Earn all money in the game. Avoid occult Sims. Cheats are not allowed unless a rule says so.

What are the rules of the Asylum Challenge?

This challenge started in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. Simswithcheese made the Sims 4 version. Make eight Sims who are not related, all with the Erratic trait. You control only the main Sim.

Free will stays on. You cannot click the other seven patients, and their needs are not your job. Easy, Medium, and Hard levels add more limits.

What mistakes end a challenge early?

  • You use an old copy of the rules. Read the page of the creator, not a copy on another site.
  • You forget a pack rule. Some rule pages add rules for expansion packs. See the Sims 4 expansion packs.
  • You use a mod that helps you. Many challenges ban mods that make the game easier.
  • You leave aging on long when the rules say normal. Check the lifespan setting first.

Most of them, yes. Not So Berry uses some pack careers, such as the Scientist career from Get to Work. The base game is free. Read is The Sims 4 free.

Can I use mods in a challenge?

Only mods that do not help you. The Decades rules allow MC Command Center and visual custom content. See the Sims 4 mods guide.

Do challenges work on consoles?

Yes. They are rules that you follow, not files. Only the mods in some rules need a PC or Mac.
