Is there a good web version of BitLife?
No official one. Candywriter, the studio that makes BitLife, links only to the App Store and Google Play. Every “BitLife online” site you find is someone else’s game.
That’s usually what people are looking for when they search for E-Life. You’re at school, or at work, or on a laptop that isn’t yours. You want a life to live for ten minutes, and you can’t install anything.
Good news: a few real life sims run in a browser. Some are clones, some are original, and one of them is ours. Here’s what each one is, who made it, and what to expect.
What is E-Life Simulation?
E-Life Simulation is a text life sim in the style of BitLife. You start at birth and live year by year. Each year brings events: school, a crush, a job offer, an illness. You pick what to do, and your happiness, health, smarts, and looks go up or down.
Who made it?
We couldn’t find out. Game portals like Silvergames label it “(BitLife)” and name no developer. One of the E-Life sites says it “is an independent website” and not affiliated with any organization. It is not made by Candywriter.
Where can you play it?
On many free game portals, and on a few sites named after it. They show ads, and the copies differ. If one site is slow or full of ads, try another.
A word on “BitLife online” sites
Sites with BitLife in the name are fan copies. We can’t vouch for any of them. Play if you like, but don’t sign in with an account you care about, and don’t pay for anything there.
What are the best browser alternatives to BitLife?
CoreLife
A free text life sim, made by one developer, that you can also install as a web app. The site says it has no paywalls. It’s still in development, so it changes often.
Echoes
A free life sim on itch.io, from birth to death. No ads and no purchases. It’s small and quiet, and it was updated in 2026.
LifeSim
Ours. It’s a different kind of game from the others on this list. You don’t live a life in ten minutes. You live one life, in a real city that you pick on a map of Earth, and the clock runs a day at a time.
The people there have jobs, homes, and friends. You talk to them in your own words, and they answer in theirs. They remember you. It runs in the browser, and it’s free, with no in-app purchases.
If you want the quick BitLife rush, it’s not that. If you’ve ever wished one of those lives had lasted, it is. Here’s how it plays.
How do you play BitLife on a computer without Bluestacks?
There are two official ways, and neither needs an emulator.
On a Mac
BitLife is on the Mac App Store for Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later). Search for it and install it like any Mac app.
On Windows
Google Play lists BitLife for Windows through Google Play Games on PC. Install Google Play Games, sign in, and search for BitLife.
On a school computer
You probably can’t install either. That’s where a browser game helps. Check your school’s rules first.
