How to open the console and type commands
Press Ctrl + Shift + C or Ctrl + F1 on Windows to bring up the text box. On Mac, press Cmd + Shift + C or Cmd + F1 instead. Command names are not case-sensitive, so you can use uppercase or lowercase letters.
Some arguments that follow a command do care about capital letters. For example, ADDITEMTOINVENTORY needs the exact internal item name, and SETSEX only reads an uppercase F, M, or C.
Type HELP or cheatlist to list the commands by category in the console. Avoid aliases that need a number after them, such as DoggoIsRich or SetFPS, because the console drops what you type after an alias and shows an error.
Commands that use your selected Para
Many cheats in the game act on the Paras you currently have selected. Before you run a character cheat, click the Para you want to change. If you need help selecting more than one Para at a time, run STARTMULTISELECTTUTORIAL to replay the tutorial.
Pay attention to how many Paras a command expects. Cheats like RELIEFALLNEEDS, SHOWSTATUSEFFECTS, and CLEARSTATUSEFFECTS work on every selected Para at once. Other cheats, such as COMPLETECURRENTWANTS, CLEARMEMORIES, and KILLCHARACTER, require you to select 1 Para.
A few commands require a specific pair or household membership. MAKEBABIES requires 2 selected Paras, 1 who can get pregnant and 1 who can get others pregnant. Need commands like SETNEED and CHANGENEED only work on members of your own household.
Cheats to reach for first
The game calls its money paradimes and shows amounts with a dollar sign. For quick funds, type PIGGYBANK for $1,000, MAKEITRAIN for $10,000, or JACKPOT for $50,000. If you want a specific balance, use SETMONEY 25000, or use PRINTMONEY 5000 to add or subtract a custom amount.
To take care of your household, type RELIEFALLNEEDS to fill the needs of your selected Paras to the top, where needs run from 0 to 10. You can also type REPAIRALLITEMS, CLEANALLITEMS, and UNSPOILALLITEMS to fix broken objects, clean dirty items, and refresh spoiled food on your lots.
When a Para gets stuck, run UNSTUCK to free them and fix their pathfinding, or EDITCHARACTER to open them in the Paramaker. To raise skills, use SETSKILLLEVEL Cooking 10, which caps at 20 for most skills.

Questions
How do you open the cheat console in Paralives?
Press Ctrl + Shift + C or Ctrl + F1. On a Mac, use Cmd in place of Ctrl. Type a command and press Enter. Both keys open the console in the game's own keyboard code (UpdateKeyboardShortcuts). Commands are not case-sensitive, and HELP lists them all.
Do I need a testing cheats command in Paralives?
No. None of the 138 commands needs a master switch first. They all work as soon as you open the console.
How do I get more money in Paralives?
Type PIGGYBANK for $1,000, MAKEITRAIN for $10,000, or JACKPOT for $50,000 in paradimes. You can also type LOTTERY to get a random amount of whole thousands from $1,000 to $99,000, or SETMONEY followed by the exact balance you want.
How do I edit an existing Para in the Paramaker?
Select the Para you want to change and type EDITCHARACTER into the console. This opens the selected character in the Paramaker so you can change anything about them.
Why do GETPREGNANT and MAKEBABIES give an error?
Both commands require you to type a baby count from 1 to 3 after the command name, such as GETPREGNANT 2. If you type the command with no number, the game fails to read a number and prints an error.
How do I change the time of day without changing the clock?
Use the sun commands like DAWNSUN, NOONSUN, AFTERNOONSUN, DUSKSUN, MIDNIGHTSUN, or SETSUNHOUR 19 to move the sky and lighting only. Type CLEARSUN when you want the sun to follow the real clock again.
