What personality traits are in Paralives?

Paralives traits

Paralives 0.1.9b has 28 personality traits in 6 groups. 15 of them evolve twice as a Para levels up their personality, with a choice at each step, up to personality level 12.

From Paralives Early Access 0.1.9b, Steam build 25958869.

In Paralives, you define your Paras using Stats, Vibes, Social Perks, Talents, Lifestyles, and Advanced Personality settings. You make and edit Paras in the Paramaker, and different trait groups open at specific life stages.

Your Paras also gain personality experience to reach new levels. Raising your personality level lets you evolve your Vibe, Social Perk, and Talent traits, or earn extra Stat points.

How personality traits work in Paralives

Trait groups in Paralives open at different life stages. Toddlers start with Stats, which include Physique, Mind, Creativity, and Charisma. You get 7 points to spend across these Stats, and you can put up to 3 points in a single Stat.

Other trait groups open at later life stages. Children unlock a Talent trait, such as Music, Fitness, Food, Technology, Art, Good at Nothing, or Jack-of-All-Trades.

Pre-Teens unlock a Vibe trait like Overjoyed, Gloomy, Energetic, Serious, or Jester. Teens gain a Social Perk, such as Good at Being Alone, Good at Making Friends, or Good at Cooperating.

How traits evolve as a Para levels up

Paras can reach up to personality level 12 by earning experience points. Your life stage caps your maximum personality level. Babies and Toddlers have a highest level of 0, Children stop at level 2, and Pre-Teens stop at level 3.

Once a Para becomes a Teen, they can reach the maximum level of 12. Each new level requires more experience than the one before, starting at 30 experience for level 2 and reaching 280 experience for level 12.

Leveling up upgrades your chosen traits through a first evolution and a second evolution. You also unlock an extra Stat point at level 5 and level 12, and you pick a second Social Perk at level 9.

Lifestyles and advanced personality choices

The Lifestyles group opens when a Para becomes a Young Adult. You can choose a Vegetarian trait and set Sleeping Habits to Early Bird, Night Owl, or Normal. You also pick Sloppy, Neat, or Normal for Cleaning Habits.

The game also includes an Advanced Personality group. You choose He/Him, She/Her, or They/Them pronouns, and you set whether the Para can breastfeed, get pregnant, or get others pregnant.

Advanced Personality settings also let you set jealousy rules for relationships. Your Para can get jealous from seeing a partner kiss or get intimate with someone else, from any physical contact, or never.
