How to get a wedding cake in The Sims 4
In the base game, cook the Tiered Cake. It needs Gourmet Cooking level 5, and Gourmet Cooking unlocks at Cooking level 5. With My Wedding Stories, Sims can use Cook Wedding Cake at the fridge, order a cake on the computer, or buy one at the patisserie in Tartosa. Bring the cake to the wedding and place it.

Steps
- Raise your Sim's Cooking skill to level 5. This unlocks the Gourmet Cooking skill.
- Cook gourmet recipes at the fridge or stove until Gourmet Cooking reaches level 5.
- Click the fridge or stove, choose Cook and pick Tiered Cake. This is the base game wedding cake.
- With My Wedding Stories, click the fridge and choose Cook Wedding Cake to pick a style and flavor.
- Pick up the cake into the Sim's inventory, or put it on a table on the wedding lot.
- At the wedding, place the cake from the inventory so guests can eat it.
Buy a wedding cake (My Wedding Stories)
On the computer, go to Order, then Wedding Cakes. The cake goes to your Sim's inventory. If the Sim is engaged, choose Select as Wedding Cake to save it for the wedding.
You can also buy a wedding cake at the patisserie stand in Porto Luminoso, Tartosa. It has fewer choices than the computer.
Cake styles by Gourmet Cooking level (My Wedding Stories)
Cupcake displays come first. Floral and Square Design Round cakes need level 5. Heart and Beachy cakes need level 6. Square and Four-Tiered Round cakes need level 7. Hexagon and Pillow cakes need level 8.
Common problems
Tiered Cake is not in the Cook menu
Check the Gourmet Cooking skill, not Cooking. Tiered Cake needs Gourmet Cooking level 5.
There is no Gourmet Cooking skill
The skill only appears after the Sim reaches Cooking level 5.
Cook Wedding Cake or the Wedding Cakes order menu is missing
These need the My Wedding Stories game pack. In the base game, cook the Tiered Cake.
A Sim ate the cake before the wedding
Keep the cake in the Sim's inventory until the wedding starts, then place it.
