Poe game: play your Poe character bot in a life sim

Yes, in LifeSim, a free life sim game, if a user made the bot. Copy the link of the bot on poe.com and paste it in the LifeSim builder. LifeSim reads the public page and makes the bot a person in your new life, in a real city.

Copy the link of a public character and paste it. LifeSim reads the public page. LifeSim is not made by Poe and is not connected to it. The import only reads what you give it.

Import a character

  1. Open the bot on poe.com in your browser.
  2. Copy the link from the address bar. It is poe.com/ and then the name of the bot.
  3. Use a bot that a user made as a character. Official Poe bots, such as Assistant, are AI models, not characters, and don't import.

LifeSim reads the name, the description, the introduction, and the picture of the bot.

The prompt of the bot comes in only when its creator made the prompt public. Without it, LifeSim works from the description.

If a link doesn't work, copy the bot's text and take screenshots instead.

  1. Press Import a character on this page. It opens the LifeSim builder with the import sheet open. In the builder, the same button is next to the + in the row of people.
  2. Paste the link of the character.
  3. LifeSim reads the public page and writes the person. Check each field, and change anything you want.
  4. Add more people if you want, then start your life.
  • The first and last name
  • The age and the gender
  • Who they are to you, for example "my roommate" or "my boyfriend"
  • A job
  • The personality
  • The past
  • A life goal
  • The looks. LifeSim draws a new portrait in its own style, from the avatar or the screenshots.
  • Your chat history, and what the character remembers from your chats
  • The voice
  • The original picture. LifeSim only uses it to draw a new one.
  • Example dialogues
  • Lorebooks
  • System prompts and instructions to the AI, as such

Up to 6 people come in with one import. A life can start with you and up to 15 other people. You can edit every field after the import.

LifeSim is rated 13+. Sexual content never comes over. When a character has some, the import leaves it out and tells you. When a character is built around sexual content, the import refuses it, and nothing is added.

Characters under 18 get no romantic or sexual details. Imported people pass the same checks as anything you type in the builder.

LifeSim reads the link, the file, or the text to write the people. It stores the screenshots you add on its servers.

LifeSim plays on a 3D map of the real Earth. After the import, the builder shows your new life. Change the city to any real place, and the people you import live there with you. For example, live with your Poe bot in London, Tokyo, or New York.

LifeSim is a free life sim. You pick a real city on a 3D map of Earth, and you live there. The people you import live there too. They have homes, jobs, and friends, and their week goes on while you are away.

You talk to them in your own words, and they remember what you said. It plays in the browser at play.lifesim.com, and there is an iPhone app. There are no ads and nothing to buy. Read what LifeSim is.

How do I export my Poe bot?

You don't need an export file. Copy the link of the bot (poe.com/…) and paste it in LifeSim. For your own bot with a private prompt, paste the prompt as text instead.

Why doesn't an official Poe bot work?

An official bot, such as Assistant, is an AI model with no character. LifeSim imports bots that users made as characters.

Can I play as my Poe bot?

The character joins your life as a person you know: you meet them, talk to them, and live next to them. To play as them, give your own character their name and story in the builder.

Do my Poe chats come over?

No. Your chats stay in Poe. The person starts fresh in LifeSim.
