How do I import a Chub character card?
Download the character as a PNG card, a .json card, or a .charx file, and add the file. LifeSim is not made by Chub and is not connected to it. The import only reads what you give it.
How to download a card from Chub
- Open the character's page on chub.ai, or on Venus.
- Press Download.
- Pick PNG or JSON. The PNG card holds the character's data inside the picture.
- Save the file on your computer or phone.
Good to know about Chub
LifeSim reads Tavern character cards, V1, V2, and V3: the chara and ccv3 data in a PNG, a .json card, or a .charx file.
A PNG card is the best pick. LifeSim gets the text and the picture from one file.
LifeSim reads the name, the description, the personality, the scenario, the greeting, and the picture. Lorebooks and example dialogues stay out.
How to add the character in LifeSim
- Press Import a character on this page. It opens the LifeSim builder with the import sheet open. In the builder, the same button is next to the + in the row of people.
- Add the card file: a PNG card, a .json card, or a .charx file.
- LifeSim reads the card and writes the person. Check each field, and change anything you want.
- Add more people if you want, then start your life.
What comes over
- The first and last name
- The age and the gender
- Who they are to you, for example "my roommate" or "my boyfriend"
- A job
- The personality
- The past
- A life goal
- The looks. LifeSim draws a new portrait in its own style, from the avatar or the screenshots.
What stays in Chub
- Your chat history, and what the character remembers from your chats
- The voice
- The original picture. LifeSim only uses it to draw a new one.
- Example dialogues
- Lorebooks
- System prompts and instructions to the AI, as such
Up to 6 people come in with one import. A life can start with you and up to 15 other people. You can edit every field after the import.
Content and privacy
LifeSim is rated 13+. Sexual content never comes over. When a character has some, the import leaves it out and tells you. When a character is built around sexual content, the import refuses it, and nothing is added.
Characters under 18 get no romantic or sexual details. Imported people pass the same checks as anything you type in the builder.
LifeSim reads the link, the file, or the text to write the people. It stores the screenshots you add on its servers.
What happens in LifeSim
LifeSim is a free life sim. You pick a real city on a 3D map of Earth, and you live there. The people you import live there too. They have homes, jobs, and friends, and their week goes on while you are away.
You talk to them in your own words, and they remember what you said. It plays in the browser at play.lifesim.com, and there is an iPhone app. There are no ads and nothing to buy. Read what LifeSim is.
