Bring a SillyTavern character into LifeSim

Open the character in SillyTavern and export it as PNG or JSON. In the LifeSim builder, press Import a character and add the file. The character becomes a person in your new life.

Download the character as a PNG card, a .json card, or a .charx file, and add the file. LifeSim is not made by SillyTavern and is not connected to it. The import only reads what you give it.

Import a character

  1. Open SillyTavern and select the character.
  2. Open the character's edit panel.
  3. Press the Export and Download button.
  4. Pick PNG or JSON, and save the file.

LifeSim reads the same Tavern card format that SillyTavern writes: V1, V2, and V3 cards in PNG or JSON, and .charx files.

A PNG card is the best pick. LifeSim gets the text and the picture from one file.

The system prompt, the example messages, and the world info stay out.

  1. Press Import a character on this page. It opens the LifeSim builder with the import sheet open. In the builder, the same button is next to the + in the row of people.
  2. Add the card file: a PNG card, a .json card, or a .charx file.
  3. LifeSim reads the card and writes the person. Check each field, and change anything you want.
  4. Add more people if you want, then start your life.
  • The first and last name
  • The age and the gender
  • Who they are to you, for example "my roommate" or "my boyfriend"
  • A job
  • The personality
  • The past
  • A life goal
  • The looks. LifeSim draws a new portrait in its own style, from the avatar or the screenshots.
  • Your chat history, and what the character remembers from your chats
  • The voice
  • The original picture. LifeSim only uses it to draw a new one.
  • Example dialogues
  • Lorebooks
  • System prompts and instructions to the AI, as such

Up to 6 people come in with one import. A life can start with you and up to 15 other people. You can edit every field after the import.

LifeSim is rated 13+. Sexual content never comes over. When a character has some, the import leaves it out and tells you. When a character is built around sexual content, the import refuses it, and nothing is added.

Characters under 18 get no romantic or sexual details. Imported people pass the same checks as anything you type in the builder.

LifeSim reads the link, the file, or the text to write the people. It stores the screenshots you add on its servers.

LifeSim is a free life sim. You pick a real city on a 3D map of Earth, and you live there. The people you import live there too. They have homes, jobs, and friends, and their week goes on while you are away.

You talk to them in your own words, and they remember what you said. It plays in the browser at play.lifesim.com, and there is an iPhone app. There are no ads and nothing to buy. Read what LifeSim is.

PNG or JSON: which export should I pick?

PNG. It holds the text and the avatar. A JSON file has no picture for the looks.

Does my SillyTavern chat come over?

No. Chats and memories stay in SillyTavern. The person starts fresh in LifeSim.

Does world info or a lorebook come over?

No. LifeSim keeps the character, not the lorebook.

Can I import a group of characters?

Import the cards one by one. A life can start with you and up to 15 other people.
