What are AI NPCs?

Life sim with AI NPCs

AI NPCs are non-player characters that use an AI model to decide what to say and do. They answer what you type, not a fixed line. In LifeSim, every person on the map is an AI NPC with a job, a home, and friends. LifeSim is free and runs in the browser.

How LifeSim does it

Each person in LifeSim has a name, a job, a home, and friends. Each one also has goals and long-term plans. They follow a weekday and a weekend routine, minute by minute.

You talk to people in your own words. Type what you want to say, in person or by text message. There are no dialogue menus.

People remember you. They keep a journal of past events and use recent memories when they answer. A June 2026 study of 629,169 live conversations counted 74,696 saved memories.
