Is there a Korean life simulator game?
Korean life simulator
Yes. LifeSim puts you in the real South Korea, on a 3D map of the real streets. You make a character, pick any city, and live there day by day. The people you meet have routines and memories, and the game runs free in your browser.
Start a life in South KoreaLife in South Korea
Most city residents live in high-rise apartments called apateu or compact studio officetels. Days run from office work or school and evening hagwon classes to late team dinners called hoesik. At night, people meet at 24-hour convenience stores, noraebang karaoke rooms, and Han River parks.
Where to live in South Korea

Busan
A southern port city with hillside neighborhoods, coastal walkways, and Haeundae beach.
Incheon
A coastal gateway west of Seoul with a historic Chinatown and the planned city of Songdo.
Daegu
A warm inland city known for its textile history, herbal medicine markets, and downtown arcades.
Gyeongju
A quiet historic city with grassy Silla royal burial mounds, Buddhist temples, and low-rise streets.
Jeju Island
A volcanic island with tangerine orchards, basalt stone walls, Hallasan trails, and diving villages.
A sample life: a rookie in Seoul
Minjun, 24, starts his first job as an office worker, or hoesa-won, in Seoul. He lives in a small studio unit called an officetel. On Monday morning, he searches the map for a cafe near his office and walks there.
During the week, he meets his coworkers and his team's maknae, the youngest member. He plans an outing for a team hoesik dinner at a neighborhood barbecue spot. They walk there together on the 3D map and talk as a group.
On Friday night, a karaoke happening appears on the map. Minjun joins his friends there, and the day ends with a recap of its moments. Each coworker remembers what Minjun said during the week.
Daily life, work, and holidays in South Korea
Most urban families and singles live in high-rise apartment complexes called apateu or in studio officetels. These homes use ondol underfloor heating and digital door locks, and you always remove your shoes at the entryway. Middle and high school students study late at private academies called hagwons to prepare for the Suneung university exam.
A typical daily meal includes steamed short-grain rice called bap, a hot soup or stew, and shared side dishes called banchan. Kimchi is on the table at almost every meal. During the major holidays of Seollal and Chuseok, families return to their hometowns, wear hanbok, and perform ancestral rites.
How other games show life in South Korea
Several other games take place in South Korea. Krafton's inZOI is a photorealistic life sim set in Dowon, a city modeled after Seoul. If you want room-by-room building, furniture, and interior graphics, inZOI does that well.
Some Some Convenience Store is a visual novel and store management game about working at a neighborhood convenience store. Motesolo is a live-action game about a blind date in a Seoul cafe, and Seoul 2033 is a text adventure. LifeSim uses a real 3D map of all of South Korea and lets you talk in your own words.
Food and late nights in Korean cities
Neighborhoods stay active late into the night. Friends grill samgyeopsal pork belly at their tables or eat kimchi-jjigae stew at casual diners called baekbanjip. People also order chimaek, which is fried chicken and beer, at local pubs or in the Han River parks.
For a quick snack, commuters stop at street carts called pojangmacha for spicy tteokbokki rice cakes and fish cake skewers. Late at night, residents visit 24-hour convenience stores, noraebang karaoke rooms, PC bang gaming centers, and jjimjilbang bathhouses. In LifeSim, you can search for real restaurants, parks, and cafes on the map and meet friends there.
Small towns, historic cities, and Jeju Island
In the real world, high-speed KTX trains and express buses connect Seoul to the rest of the country. LifeSim does not have trains you ride, but you can start a life in any town on the map. You can live in Daejeon among research institutes or in Gwangju near Mudeungsan National Park.
For a quieter pace, you can set your character in Gyeongju among ancient Silla royal burial mounds and Buddhist temples. You can also choose a coastal village on Jeju Island, near tangerine orchards, basalt stone walls, and Hallasan Mountain. Write the town name in your prompt, and the game places you on its real streets.

How it works
- Describe your character in one text box. Name a city or town in South Korea in the text.
- The game reads the place from your text and puts you there, on a 3D map of the real streets.
- Live day by day. Go to real places, meet people, and talk to them in your own words.
Questions
Can I live in Seoul or Busan in LifeSim?
Yes. You can write Seoul, Busan, or any other South Korean city into your character text. The game puts you on the real streets of that city.
Is the game in Korean?
No. LifeSim is in English only. People talk to you in English, and the streets and places keep their real names.
Can I decorate an apartment or a hanok room?
No. Buildings show from the outside only, and there are no interiors or furniture systems. You can write your home into your character story, such as an officetel or a banjiha flat.
Can I play as a K-pop idol or a corporate worker?
Yes. Write any job into your character box, such as an idol or a hoesa-won office worker. The game does not have a fame meter, follower counts, or a career ladder.
What is hoesik in Korean work life?
Hoesik is a team dinner and outing after work, often at a barbecue restaurant or a pub. In LifeSim, you can plan an outing with coworkers to a real restaurant on the map.
