What it does
- Single beds: read with or without covers (children only with covers).
- Double beds: the side you click picks with or without covers; a tooltip explains.
- Gives fun, and skill books still give skill at any level.
- Counts for 'finish a book' wants and aspiration goals.
- Children gain creativity from fiction and mental skill from skill books.
- University students can study textbooks in bed.
- Works with simkatu's add-on to set the animation type per Sim.

- XML Injector.
- Base game.
How to install it
- Download the free .package from simkatu's Patreon post.
- Install XML Injector if you do not have it.
- Put both in your Mods folder, turn on custom content and script mods, then restart.
Does it work with the latest patch?
Last updated Aug 31, 2026 (fixed a bug where reloading a save could level up every skill). simkatu's 'all my mods' post (edited Oct 26, 2026) says all mods are compatible with patch 1.128 (Sept 22, 2026). Nothing posted about 1.129.39 as of Oct 28, 2026.
After every game update, check the creator's page before you play. If the game breaks, read your newest error file with the LastException reader, and see what the last patch changed.
