Can I bring my Stardew Valley farmer into another game?
Add the save folder of your farm, its main file, or a .zip of the folder. LifeSim is not made by ConcernedApe and is not connected to Stardew Valley. The import only reads what you give it.
How to find your Stardew Valley save
- On Windows, press Windows + R, type %AppData%\StardewValley\Saves, and press Enter.
- On a Mac and on Linux, open ~/.config/StardewValley/Saves. On a Mac, press Command + Shift + G in Finder and paste the path.
- On a Steam Deck, switch to Desktop Mode and open /home/deck/.config/StardewValley/Saves.
- Each farm has a folder named after the farm and a number, for example Paradise_312220102. It holds a file with the same name, SaveGameInfo, and backups that end in _old.
- Add the whole folder, a .zip of it, or the file named like the folder. You can also add the whole Saves folder. LifeSim lists each farm, and you choose one.
Good to know about Stardew Valley
LifeSim reads the main save file, as the game wrote it. It doesn't need SaveGameInfo or the _old backups.
On a multiplayer farm, every farmhand who joined comes in too. Under Who are you?, choose the farmer you play.
A villager comes along at 6 hearts or more, or when you are dating, engaged, or divorced. The game counts 250 friendship points for each heart. Up to 4 villagers come along, the closest first.
The save has no age for a farmer, so LifeSim starts your farmer at 25. Children get their age from the days since they were born. You can change every age in the builder.
The save has no portraits that LifeSim can read. LifeSim draws the looks from the age and the gender, and you can describe them in the builder.
On a console, you can't reach the save folder. Take screenshots of your farmer and write a few lines instead. The import sheet has that way too.
How to add the household in LifeSim
- Press the import button on this page. It opens the LifeSim builder with the import sheet open and the game chosen. In the builder, the same sheet is next to the + in the row of people.
- Add the files of the household, its whole folder, or a .zip of it. The builder opens the files on your device.
- If the files hold more than one household, choose one.
- Choose the member you play, or none of them. LifeSim writes a person for each of the others.
- Check each person, change anything you want, and start your life.
What comes over
- Every farmer of the farm: the name and the gender
- The farm name, the year of the save, the skill levels, and the favorite thing, as the farmer's past
- Your spouse, and your children with their age
- Up to 4 villagers you are close to, with their gender, their hearts, and their work, such as carpenter or doctor
- Who they are to you: "my wife", "my son", "my girlfriend", "my best friend"
- Starting money, from the money of the farm
What stays in Stardew Valley
- The farm, the house, the crops, the animals, and the items
- Pets and horses
- Villagers below 6 hearts, and villagers after the closest 4
- The looks of the farmer. LifeSim draws a new portrait in its own style.
Privacy
LifeSim reads the link, the file, or the text to write the people. It stores the screenshots you add on its servers.
LifeSim is rated 13+. Imported people pass the same checks as anything you type in the builder.
What happens in LifeSim
LifeSim is a free life sim. You pick a real city on a 3D map of Earth, and you live there. The people you import live there too. They have homes, jobs, and friends, and their week goes on while you are away.
You talk to them in your own words, and they remember what you said. It plays in the browser at play.lifesim.com, and there is an iPhone app. There are no ads and nothing to buy. Read what LifeSim is.
