How to become a president in LifeSim
LifeSim has no political career ladder, voting system, or approval rating bar. To take office, you write that you are the president in the starting text box. You can also start as a senator or candidate and play out a campaign through your daily goals.
You shape your term through the people around you. You can edit your cast to add a chief of staff, a rival lawmaker, or a spouse. Every person remembers your past promises and brings them up in future chats.
A sample life: the holdout vote in Washington
Elena, 52, starts her life as a fictional president in Washington, D.C. She sets a life goal to pass a national infrastructure bill during her first month. Her daily to-do list includes a morning briefing and a meeting with her cabinet.
The bill is one vote short. Elena texts a retiring senator to plan a late-night outing near the White House. They walk together on the 3D map, and she asks in her own words what his hometown needs.
Real capital cities for a presidential life
Name a real capital in your prompt to place your story around famous government landmarks. In Washington, D.C., your map includes the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue, the US Capitol on Capitol Hill, and nearby Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. In Paris, you can base your days near the Élysée Palace in the 8th arrondissement.
In Seoul, you can visit the historic Blue House beneath Bugaksan mountain or the Yongsan district. Berlin offers Schloss Bellevue on the edge of the Tiergarten park, near the Reichstag building. You can also pick New York City to visit the United Nations Headquarters in Turtle Bay.
What a real president does every day
A real president is on call 24 hours a day for a fixed term. The workday starts around 7:00 AM with a security briefing and intelligence reports. During the day, they chair cabinet meetings, call lawmakers, sign or veto bills, and deliver televised speeches.
In most democracies, no university degree or license is legally required to hold executive office. Many leaders study law, economics, or political science and serve in legislatures first. In France, a candidate must be 18 and collect 500 official sponsorships, called parrainages, from elected officials.
Playing the hard parts of the office
Presidents live inside a tight security bubble and cannot walk to a corner store alone. They face chronic sleep deprivation and media criticism aimed at their families. Every military or disaster choice carries heavy consequences.
You can bring this tension into your LifeSim story. A late-night text from your advisor can interrupt a family dinner with news of a crisis. If you break a bipartisan deal with a rival, they write it in their journal and remember it.
