How other games handle big city life
If you want to decorate rooms and manage hunger bars, other games do that better. The Sims 4: City Living lets you furnish apartments in the fictional city of San Myshuno and deal with noisy neighbors. Big Ambitions lets you buy groceries, rent apartments, and run businesses in New York City.
Denizen lets you customize living spaces and apply for local jobs in Cedar Shores. Persona 5 Royal offers a structured story in Tokyo where you ride trains and explore Shibuya and Shinjuku. LifeSim skips room interiors and needs bars, and gives you open conversations on a real 3D map of Earth.
How to set up your city life
Start by writing your character description in the text box. Name a real city, such as Berlin, London, or Seoul, so the game puts you there. Edit your cast to add a roommate, a neighbor across the hall, and a building superintendent.
Set life goals, such as finding a hobby community or making three neighborhood friends. Use your daily to-do list for small errands like visiting a local park or library. Put weekend plans and street festivals on your calendar to keep track of your week.
A sample life: a package in New York City
Maya, 26, lives in a walk-up apartment in New York City. On her first Monday, she sets a daily task to talk to her neighbor, Arthur, about a misdelivered package. She chats with him in her own words, and they discover a shared interest in old books.
On Wednesday, a summer blackout happens in their story. Maya starts a group text thread with Arthur and her roommate to gather in the hallway and share food. By Friday, Arthur texts Maya on his own to invite her to an outing at a real public library.
A week of urban living in Tokyo
In a high-density city like Tokyo, small studio apartments make public spaces very important. You can use place search to find a real cafe, library, or park near Shibuya to spend your afternoon. On Tuesday, you might talk with a convenience store clerk or meet a coworker for lunch.
Midweek, you can check the map for happenings like karaoke or birthday drinks. On Saturday, you plan an outing and invite two friends to walk together to a real park. Each night ends with a recap of your moments, and your cash and relationships update based on your actions.
The people in your apartment building and neighborhood
Big city life brings you close to many people who have their own weekday and weekend routines. You can add flatmates who share your kitchen, or a building manager who handles repairs and packages. You can also talk to the local barista or a commuter you see every Tuesday.
Everyone in your world keeps a journal of past events. If you argue with your neighbor about late-night street noise, they remember it the next week. If you help your superintendent start a rooftop vegetable garden, they will bring it up in future chats.

No. LifeSim has no interiors, rooms, furniture, or rent systems. You see buildings from the outside and play out apartment life through text chats.

Can I have roommates and noisy neighbors?
Yes. You can add roommates, neighbors, and a landlord to your cast. They have their own routines and remember what you say to them.
