Is there a village life simulator game?
Village life simulator
Yes. A village life simulator is a game about small-town routines, local markets, and close neighbors. In LifeSim you can play a villager in any real town or city on a 3D map of Earth. It is free in your browser with no download.
A newcomer with an old orchard near EdinburghHow to start this life in LifeSim
- Describe your villager in the text box with a name, an age, a daily trade, and a real town or city.
- Edit your cast to add a retired neighbor, a local shopkeeper, a parish clerk, or a family member.
- Use place search to find a real market, park, or café on the 3D map and walk there.
- Talk to your neighbors in your own words, start a group text, and set daily to-do tasks for the season.
A sample life: the newcomer's harvest in Cirencester
Clara, 34, leaves her city job and moves into an inherited stone cottage near Cirencester, England. The cottage has an overgrown apple orchard. She sets a life goal to prune the trees before the autumn frost.
She edits her cast to add Arthur, a skeptical retired neighbor who knows the local land. Every morning, Clara walks the real streets on the 3D map to meet Arthur by his garden fence. She asks him in her own words how to care for the old trees.
By the end of the first week, Arthur starts to trust her and texts her on his own. He invites her to an outing at the Cirencester farmers' market to buy tools. When they talk on Saturday, Arthur remembers every question she asked on Monday.
The people around you in a small village
In a village, there is very little personal anonymity, and neighbors know you by name. You can edit your cast to add multi-generational family members, an independent shopkeeper, or a local schoolteacher. You can also add essential helpers like the village postal carrier, a visiting district nurse, or a traveling veterinarian.
Each person in your town has a job, a home, and a weekday and weekend routine. They keep a journal of past events and remember what you tell them. If you promise the parish clerk to help repair the village hall roof, they will ask about it later.
What village life looks like in LifeSim
Time moves day by day, and each evening ends with a recap of your moments. You manage a daily to-do list with tasks like chopping firewood, tending your garden, or visiting the local market. There are no skill bars or farming mini-games, so you act out your chores through your daily choices and chats.
You use place search to find a real park, café, or community hall on the map. Buildings show from the outside only, with no rooms inside. On desktop, you can use Build mode to draw a new market stall or hall and place it in town.
A week of village life in Takayama
Kenzo, 52, runs a small woodcraft shop in Takayama, a mountain town in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. On Monday, he adds a task to his calendar for the neighborhood association, called the chonaikai. He walks down the traditional wooden merchant streets to pass the kairanban notice clipboard to his neighbor.
On Wednesday, winter weather hits the mountains, and a storm damages the roof of the local community hall. Kenzo starts a group text thread with the café owner and a local farmer to plan a charity craft auction. On Saturday, they walk together to the morning farm market and talk as a group to raise the repair money.

Questions
Can I farm crops or raise livestock in a mini-game?
No. LifeSim has no farming mini-games, crop timers, or pet systems. If you want hands-on farming, play Stardew Valley or The Sims 4: Cottage Living.
Can I play in any real village on Earth?
Yes. The map uses a real 3D map of Earth. You can type a historic town like Cirencester in England or Takayama in Japan into your character prompt.
Can I walk inside the village pub or community hall?
No. All buildings on the map show from the outside only, with no interiors or rooms. You walk to the real spot on the street and talk to your neighbors there.
How do local village councils work in the real world?
In England, elected civil Parish Councils manage local allotments, village halls, and public footpaths. In rural India, all registered voters form a Gram Sabha assembly to elect a Gram Panchayat council.
Is this village life simulator free?
Yes. LifeSim runs for free in your browser on phones and desktops at play.lifesim.com. You can play as a guest with no account or paid items.
