Sims 4 update of October 27, 2026: every hidden change

The Sims 4 update of October 27, 2026 (game version 1.129.39.1030) changed 964 tuning records. It gave calories to 222 foods that had none, so they now count toward a Sim's weight. 91 recipes cost more to cook and 5 cost less. 48 dishes got a new base price.

The update in numbers

  • 964tuning records changed
  • 222foods had 0 calories and now have some
  • 91recipes cost more to cook
  • 43new records

We compared every tuning record of game version 1.128.90.1030 (Steam build 25223079) with version 1.129.39.1030 (build 25966929). EA's patch notes name the features. This page lists the numbers behind them.

Calories: 222 foods stop being free

Every food in The Sims 4 carries a number of calories, which the game adds to a Sim's hidden fat stat when they eat. Before this update, 222 foods were marked as food that adds weight but carried 0 calories, so they did not count. Grilled steak, poke bowls, and fish and chips were among them. The update gives them real numbers, and it lowers rich dishes, like trout meunière (565 → 250).
