Imagination skill

Your toddler starts at the bottom and needs 119 points to reach level 1. Going from level 1 to level 2 takes 180 additional points, bringing the total to 299. Each rank after that requires a larger jump in points.

Reaching level 3 requires 280 points from the level before, for a running total of 579 points. Level 4 takes 360 more points and brings your total to 939. The final jump to level 5 is the largest and asks for 500 points, finishing at 1,439 total points.

Emotions change how fast your toddler gains points. Very Inspired gives a 1.6 multiplier, Inspired gives 1.4, and Sad gives 1.2. Playful, Very Playful, and Hysterical each give a 1.1 multiplier.

Some emotions actually slow your progress down. Happy and Very Happy lower your gain multiplier to 0.875. Angry drops the multiplier to 0.8, Very Angry drops it to 0.6, and Enraged drops it to 0.4.

Active moodlets and traits multiply together with emotions for faster gains. Snaggle Flustered gives a 4 multiplier, while Parental Guidance and the Artistic Endeavors moodlet each give 3. You can also use the Creative Spark moodlet for a 2.5 multiplier or the Strong Creative Affinity trait for 1.4.

Higher levels unlock new social and play interactions for your toddler. At level 2, your Sim can use Make Believe Pirate Shipwreck and Make Believe Spaceport. Level 3 unlocks Talk about Princesses and Talk about Superheroes, while level 4 adds Talk about Art.

Level 1 and level 5 do not gate any new interactions or recipes. In addition, no careers in the game ask for the Imagination skill. You can skip the point grind altogether by using the cheat console in Live mode.

Open the console with Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true and press Enter. Then enter stats.set_skill_level statistic_Skill_Toddler_Imagination 5 to reach level 5.
