Sims 4 skills

Each skill category needs a set amount of points to reach the maximum level. Standard major skills have 10 levels and require 81,580 points to max out. Minor skills have 5 levels and need 12,580 points to reach the top.

Younger Sims have their own skill tracks with lower point requirements. Child skills like Creativity, Mental, Motor, and Social go up to level 10 and take 26,199 points. Toddler skills like Movement and Thinking stop at level 5 and need 1,439 points.

Two skills break the standard rules for their categories. The toddler Potty skill stops at level 3 and requires 759 points. Vampire Lore is a major skill with 15 levels, but it only takes 13,350 points to max out.

Specific moodlets multiply the speed of your skill gains across the game. The Snaggle Flustered moodlet gives a 4 gain multiplier. Parental Guidance improves your learning speed with a 3 multiplier.

Several other moodlets also provide universal skill boosts. Razor Sharp gives a 2.5 gain multiplier, while Blessed by Loved One provides a 1.75 multiplier. Moodlets like Micro Home, Tiny Home, Jet Juiced, and Supercharged each apply a 2 gain multiplier.

You can also skip the point requirements with the cheat console in Live mode. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac to open the box. Type testingcheats true, then enter stats.set_skill_level <skill name> <level> to set your exact level.
