A sample life: the audition in London
Arthur, 26, works evenings table-hopping at a restaurant in London. He sets a life goal: pass the practical audition to join The Magic Circle near Euston Station. On his daily to-do list, he writes tasks like practicing a ten-minute coin routine and writing new patter.
He uses place search to walk to Covent Garden and watches street performers work the crowd. Later, his mentor texts him to plan an outing at a pub to check his sightlines, or angles. When Arthur accidentally flashes a hidden coin during practice, his mentor remembers it in their next chat.
Real cities for a magician life
Name any city in your character prompt, and the game puts you on its real streets. In Las Vegas, you can build a story around casino showroom residencies on the Strip or workshops at the McBride Magic & Mystery School. In Los Angeles, performers aim to book close-up and parlor rooms at The Magic Castle in Hollywood.
Chicago is famous for close-up restaurant work and the speakeasy-style Chicago Magic Lounge in Andersonville. In Tokyo, you can play a bartender performing sleight of hand over drinks at intimate magic bars in Ginza and Roppongi. You can even type in Colon, Michigan, the small village known for Abbott's Magic Manufacturing Company.
What a magician life looks like in LifeSim
There are no button-mashing trick mini-games and no interiors to walk into. Instead, you live the social and business side of the craft day by day. You text corporate event planners to book banquet halls, negotiate your fee, and handle hecklers in your own words.
Happenings appear on your city map, such as birthday drinks, house parties, or a grand opening. You can go to these events and work the room with a deck of cards and sponge balls. As years pass, your character ages and can mentor younger performers.
How real magicians train and work
Real magicians spend their daytime hours practicing sleight of hand in front of three-way mirrors and resetting gimmicks. They fold cards, load hidden compartments, repair props, and send contracts to clients. Work shifts happen mostly on evenings, weekends, and holidays at restaurants, comedy clubs, and corporate galas.
In the US, beginners often learn at brick-and-mortar magic shops or join the International Brotherhood of Magicians. In Japan, many start at university clubs or demonstrate tricks at department store counters run by the manufacturer Tenyo. Performers deal with repetitive wrist strain and hecklers who grab props, but they enjoy high mobility and astonishment from live crowds.

Questions
Does the game have card trick mini-games or real magic spells?
No. LifeSim has no mini-games and no magic or superpower systems. You play out sleight of hand, patter, and misdirection as a story in your own words. If you want to execute real card moves with a controller, play Card Shark instead.
Can I walk inside a magic theater or a casino showroom?
No. Buildings show from the outside only, and there are no interiors or rooms. You walk to the real venue on the 3D map and act out the performance in conversation.
Is there a fame meter or a ticket sales counter?
No. LifeSim does not have a fame meter, follower counts, or a career ladder. Your cash changes through your activities and chats as you negotiate gigs with clients.
Do real magicians need a license to perform?
In the United States and the United Kingdom, there is no government license required to practice magic. However, US street buskers often need local municipal permits, and stage illusionists using flash paper need fire marshal permits. In the UK, working pros usually join the union Equity for Public Liability Insurance, which most venues require.
Can I create a magic duo or edit my stage assistant?
Yes. You can edit the other people in your cast, including your partner, your boss, or a rival performer. You can also start group text threads to plan shows and outings together.
