Paralives patch notes

The newest patch that we found on the Development page of the studio is 0.1.8, from August 24, 2026. In September 2026, the studio started work on its first major update. The Development page says, as of October 2026, that the team works on that update and on hotfixes.

We found full notes for one patch: 0.1.3, from June 6, 2026. This post lists them. For the other patches, we list only the date, because we did not open their notes.

Patch 0.1.3 came on June 6, 2026. It added four new things, according to Sims Community.

The Unpacking collab

A Para can play Unpacking on a computer, collect Unpacking stamps, and decorate rooms with Unpacking plushies and objects. ComicBook adds details: there are 10 items from the collab, including plushies and a poster, and the stamps come from the mailbox of the Para after play. ComicBook quotes the studio on cost: “Like all future updates to Paralives, the Unpacking-themed update is entirely free.”

Teen romance

The notes say: “Teenagers can now flirt and be in a romantic relationship with other teenagers.” Parents who check the age content of a game should note this line. Read the age rating post for the ratings of life sims. The studio says in its FAQ that it aims for a Teen rating.

Group eating

Each Para takes and eats a portion during the group eating interaction.

A fade speed option

A new option sets how fast trees and buildings fade when they block the view. The notes say it helps players who have photosensitivity.

The notes list many fixes. These groups matter most to most players.

Saves and stability

• The save system is improved, to reduce the chance of corrupted save files.
• Duplicating a save many times no longer makes a name that is too long to load.

Needs and gameplay

• Water use no longer makes bills too high.
• Using the telescope now raises the astronomy skill.
• More interactions now raise the Fun need. The list includes dancing, reading, TV, phone and computer games, and building sandcastles.
• A Para no longer teleports when you cancel “Go to work.”

Fire

• Fire no longer spreads to parts of a house that Paras cannot reach, so you can always put it out.
• The smoke detector calls the firefighters as it should.
• Many firefighters no longer arrive at the same time, and they act at once.

Modding and display

• The in-game font shows more characters, so translation mods are possible.
• The game now works with more than 50 Steam Workshop mods.
• Imperial heights show feet and inches in the right format.

The notes also list smaller fixes. They show what players met in the first weeks.

Sound

You can hear the voices of children and pre-teen Parafolks again.

Cooking and paths

• You can use ovens in tight spaces for cooking.
• A Para can use the stairs from the top floor of Anisa’s apartment, and both entrances of the hairdresser.
• Cooking frozen pizza with a townie no longer causes glitches or flicker.
• The Modino wall sink works.

Town

• The Town Hall hall of fame shows high-skill townies that your Paras can beat.
• A townie request fails by itself if the townie dies.
• In the request to clean the beach, trash bags appear right after you accept, and you can complete the request.

Interface

• The camera no longer jumps when you use the height slider in Paramaker.
• Floor graffiti no longer blocks the interaction menu.
• The “Need ignored” sign no longer flickers during fires.

Patch notes list changes. They do not say how much each change matters to you. Use this method, which is our advice and not a statement of the studio:

1. Read the new content first. It tells you what the game can do now.
2. Read the fixes for saves. A save fix means that a loss of data was possible.
3. Search the fixes for the feature that you use most, such as cooking or fire.
4. Check the date. A patch that is older than the newest one may already have a later fix.

The names differ between pages. ComicBook calls the Unpacking update the first major content update of Early Access. The Development page of the studio says that the first major update is still in work, and that it is planned for the end of 2026.

Our reading: the studio treats patch 0.1.3 as a content patch, and it keeps the words “first major update” for a later release. We cannot confirm that reading, because the studio does not define the term. Use the Development page as the main source.

The game is on Steam, and the studio ships its patches there. The Steam page lists Steam Cloud and the Steam Workshop.

Our advice, and not a rule from the studio: copy your saves before a big patch. The 0.1.3 notes include a fix against corrupted save files, so a bug of this kind did exist. Mods can also break after a patch. Check the Workshop page of each mod.

Yes. ComicBook quotes the studio: the update is entirely free. A Steam bundle of both games also exists.

Can teenagers have romance in Paralives?

Since patch 0.1.3, teenagers can flirt and have a romantic relationship with other teenagers, according to the notes.

How many copies has Paralives sold?

The Development page lists an announcement of 1,000,000 copies on June 24, 2026.
