inZOI vs Paralives

Neither is better for everyone. Pick inZOI if you want realistic people and a finished feel. Pick Paralives if you want to build houses, to mod the game, or to play on an older computer.

Both games are in Early Access. Both cost the same on the day that we checked. This post compares them on the points that players raise most: price, looks, building, speed, mods, and bugs. We opened every source on October 3, 2026.

The two games choose different looks. inZOI runs on Unreal Engine 5 and aims for realistic people. Its Steam page lists more than 250 options in character creation. Paralives uses a warm, stylized look.

A fan site, paralives.blog, describes the same split. It says that inZOI aims for a realistic show with detailed characters. It describes Paralives as a stylized world. This site is a fan site, so read its view as an opinion.

The look is a matter of taste. If you want a game that looks like a film, pick inZOI. If you want a game that looks like a cartoon, pick Paralives.

Most players give this point to Paralives. Its Steam page lists building with no grid, curved walls, objects that you can resize, floors on split levels, and stairs with a custom shape.

inZOI has building tools too. Its Steam page describes character customization and house building with easy tools. A September 2026 update added basements with up to three floors, according to the patch notes on Sims Community.

Compare them like this: Paralives gives you more control over each wall. inZOI gives you more ready-made parts and a bigger setting around the house.

Paralives. The minimum card is a GTX 1060. For inZOI, it is an RTX 2060. The Steam discussion that we read supports this. One player says that Paralives runs on older hardware. Another says that inZOI runs hot, even on a strong PC.

On Mac, the order is the other way. inZOI asks for an Apple M1 chip. Paralives asks for an M2. inZOI also asks for 16 GB of RAM on Mac, according to its Steam page.

Players in the Steam thread prefer the mod base of Paralives. The Steam page for Paralives lists Steam Workshop support.

inZOI has official mods too. CurseForge says that it provides the official in-game mod support for inZOI. The page lists 5,792 mod projects on the day that we opened it. It also says that mods for faces, hair, and custom interactions are coming soon.

So both games have mods. Paralives is newer, and its mod tools use Steam. inZOI has more mods to download now.

Players in the Steam thread say that inZOI had a cleaner release. One player reports that Paralives has bugs that cause frequent crashes. We read one thread, so treat this as a sign, not a count.

The review scores show a split. Over all time, Paralives has the higher score. For the last 30 days, the Paralives page shows 79% positive from 467 reviews. The inZOI page shows 84% positive from 643 reviews for the same time frame.

Early Access is a promise of more work. Paralives says that it expects about two years in Early Access. It also says that it will have no paid DLC, only free updates. The inZOI Steam page says that the studio plans at least one year in Early Access. The game has been in Early Access for more than a year now.

Paralives lists plans for pets, vehicles, houseboats, swimming pools, weather and seasons, gardening, fishing, and town creation. These arrive during Early Access. If you need a pet or a car now, wait.

Use this list. It is our reading of the sources, and it is not a rule.

Pick inZOI if

• You want people who look real.
• You have a strong graphics card. The minimum is an RTX 2060.
• You want a game that players call cleaner at release.
• You want a large set of mods now.

Pick Paralives if

• You love to build and to place each object by hand.
• You have an older computer. The minimum is a GTX 1060.
• You want a stylized look.
• You want a pledge of no paid DLC.

Wait if

• You need pets, cars, or seasons in Paralives now.
• You want multiplayer in inZOI. It is not released.
• You do not want to meet bugs.

We found no demo for either game in our sources. Steam lets you refund a game, but the rules are on the Steam site, and we did not open them. Read them before you buy.

A cheaper test is a free game that has the same feel. Read is The Sims 4 free. The base game of The Sims 4 costs nothing, so you can learn what you like in a life sim before you pay for either game.

Players in the Steam thread also suggest that you wait. One player advises that you watch the updates of Paralives first. That is sound advice for a game with two years of Early Access ahead.

LifeSim is not a 3D house builder. You do not place walls. You live one life on a real map of Earth and talk to the people in it. They remember what you say.

We fit if you care about the people more than the furniture. We do not fit if building is the main joy for you. Pick Paralives in that case. LifeSim runs in a browser, it is free, and it has no in-app purchases.

Does Paralives have DLC?

The Steam page says that the studio pledges no paid DLC. It plans free updates.

Should I wait for a sale?

Both games are 20% off until October 8. Check the price again after that date.
