Type testingcheats true first. The trait line adds or removes the occult trait by its internal name (how traits.equip_trait works). The points line adds 10 points to spend on powers; change the number as you like (every perk cheat).

How to become a fairy or cure it
You can make a fairy directly in Create a Sim by selecting Add Fairy on a new Sim. In Live mode, a Sim can complete the Become a Fairy step to transform. An existing fairy with the Transform into Fairy ability can also turn another Sim.
If you want a mortal Sim again, select the Relinquish Fairy Essence option. This action removes your fairy status and returns your Sim to normal.
You can also use cheats in Live mode after you open the console with Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true, then enter traits.equip_trait trait_OccultFairy_AllAges to make your Sim a fairy. Use traits.remove_trait trait_OccultFairy_AllAges to remove the occult status.
Which fairy abilities to buy first
Every fairy perk costs 1 ability point. Start with chain abilities if you want to affect other Sims. For example, buy Bottle Emotion at level 1 so you can unlock Bottle Another's Emotion at level 2. The Nurture Nature, Influence Relationship, Influence Sentiment, and Shift Luck chains work the same way.
Pick your mutually exclusive perks carefully, because buying one locks out its opposite. You must choose between Benevolent Absorber and Malicious Absorber, or Warm Force Gain and Wicked Force Gain. Other opposing pairs include Energetic Dreamer versus Expert Regeneration, Embrace Relationship Changes versus Negate Relationship Changes, and Spillover Resistance versus Spillover Sensitivity.
For gardening, pick up Bloom Plant, Manifest Seed, or Forager Fae and Duplicate Harvestable. If you change your mind about your build, drink a Fairy Ability Refund Potion to reset your perks. You can also enter bucks.update_bucks_by_amount FairyPerkBucks 10 in the cheat console to add 10 points.
Fairy ranks, moon phases, and aging
Fairies progress through 17 levels and need 4,658 total points to reach the top. You start at the Faint rank and reach Glowing at level 4 with 500 points. Glimmering unlocks at level 8 with 1,376 points, Brilliant at level 12 with 2,628 points, and Radiant at level 16 with 4,252 points.
Six moon phases affect your fairy for 24 hours at a time. During a Full Moon, emotional force runs out slower and abilities cost less. Waxing Gibbous and Waning Gibbous also slow down emotional force loss, while a New Moon makes emotional force run out faster and increases ability costs.
Waxing Crescent and Waning Crescent phases also make emotional force run out faster. Fairies have no special aging rules and no immunity to normal deaths. They also face their own occult hazard, Death by Emotional Starvation.
