Creativity skill

Each level of the Creativity skill requires more points than the last. Level 1 needs only 100 points, while level 2 jumps by 1,000 points to a 1,100 total. The climb stays steep at levels 3 and 4, which ask for 1,680 and 2,350 new points.

After level 4, the increases between levels become smaller and steadier. Level 6 asks for 3,150 points from level 5, bringing your running total to 10,899 points. Level 10 requires the longest grind at 4,230 points from level 9, finishing at 26,199 total points.

Emotions change how fast your child gains Creativity points. Being Very Inspired gives a 1.6x gain multiplier, and Inspired gives a 1.4x boost. Even the Sad emotion helps with a 1.2x multiplier, while Angry, Very Angry, and Enraged slow your progress down.

Active moodlets multiply together with your emotion boost for much faster skill gains. The Artistic Endeavors moodlet triples your points with a 3x multiplier. Being Tutored and Creative Spark each give a 2.5x multiplier, and Fluttering Bliss doubles your gain at 2x.

Several other moodlets, like Creative Boost and Dedication, add a 1.5x multiplier. General boosts that work on every skill also apply to Creativity. Snaggle Flustered gives a 4x multiplier, and Parental Guidance offers a 3x multiplier.

Higher levels of the skill unlock new interactions and recipes for your child. Level 4 unlocks the Daydream and Tell Make Believe Story interactions. Level 6 adds the Describe Imaginary Friend interaction, and level 7 unlocks Write Doll House Story.

Creativity also helps children advance in the Drama Club. You need level 2 Creativity to earn a promotion from Drama Club level 1. Getting promoted out of Drama Club level 2 requires level 4 Creativity.

You can skip the grind with a cheat in Live mode. Open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true, then enter stats.set_skill_level statistic_Skill_Child_Creativity 10 to reach level 10.
