How the horse Endurance skill grows
Horses begin learning Endurance at level 1 and work their way up to level 10. Only adult and elder horses can build this skill in the game.
The game files do not list specific point jumps between levels 1 through 10 for Endurance. Instead, your horse's progress rate depends heavily on active trait and moodlet multipliers.
Traits and moodlets that speed up Endurance
No emotion boosts apply to the horse Endurance skill, so you must use traits and moodlets. The Prepared for Horse Riding moodlet gives a 1.75 gain multiplier. Universal skill boosts also apply, such as Snaggle Flustered with a 4 multiplier, plus Parental Guidance and Skilling on Up with a 3 multiplier.
Several horse traits change how fast your horse learns Endurance. Champion Genes and Well-Mannered Foal each give a 1.25 gain multiplier, Intelligent gives 1.175, and Energetic gives 1.125. If you combine several active traits and moodlets, their multipliers multiply together.
Some horse traits slow down your progress. The Defiant trait and the Mellow trait both apply a 0.875 gain multiplier. Horses with these traits take longer to reach level 10.
Level unlocks and the Endurance skill cheat
Levels 1 through 10 of the Endurance skill do not gate specific interactions or recipes in the game files. Also, no careers ask for the Endurance skill for promotions.
