How the horse Agility skill grows
The Agility skill spans from level 1 to level 10 for adult and elder horses. The game files do not list specific point requirements to advance from one level to the next. Because there are no listed point totals, the data shows no big point jumps between levels.
Instead, your progress depends on the gain multipliers your horse has active during training. When your horse gains skill points, the game multiplies those points by any active trait or moodlet bonuses. Several active multipliers multiply together to change your overall speed.
Fastest ways to level up horse Agility
No emotions boost the horse Agility skill, so you must rely on traits and moodlets instead. For general skill boosts, the Snaggle Flustered effect gives a 4 gain multiplier. Parental Guidance and Skilling on Up both give a 3 gain multiplier to any skill.
For horse-specific boosts, the Prepared for Horse Riding moodlet gives a 1.75 multiplier. The Champion Genes, Curious, and Well-Mannered Foal traits each give a 1.25 multiplier. You also get a 1.175 multiplier from the Intelligent trait and a 1.125 multiplier from the Energetic trait.
You should watch out for traits that slow down your horse's Agility training. The Defiant trait and the Mellow trait both have a 0.875 gain multiplier. A horse with either of these traits earns fewer points during training.
Higher levels and the horse Agility cheat
Reaching higher levels from level 1 through level 10 does not unlock new gated interactions in the data. The skill also does not unlock any recipes as you progress. In addition, no careers ask for the horse Agility skill for promotions.
