How the Workaholic trait changes gameplay
The Workaholic trait replaces the usual Sad moodlets that happen when your Sim gets fired. Normally, losing a job gives a Sad moodlet with a weight of 3 or 5 for 1 day. A Workaholic Sim gets a Tense moodlet with a weight of 3 instead.
This Tense moodlet lasts for 2 days, or 2,880 Sim minutes. The trait does not add any career pay bonuses, hidden multipliers, or constant moodlets. It also has 0 interactions that check for it directly.
Who can get Workaholic and how
Human Sims can have the Workaholic trait at Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder ages. It does not conflict with any other traits in the game. Because no interactions directly grant this trait, you can use the cheat console in Live mode to add it.
Open the console with Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type traits.equip_trait trait_Lifestyles_Workaholic to add the trait, or traits.remove_trait trait_Lifestyles_Workaholic to remove it. You do not need to enable testing cheats first.
