No. LifeSim has no court system. If you want trials, a game such as Ace Attorney is built for that. LifeSim is about the life around the work.

Can I persuade people in the game?

Yes. You type what you want to say. People answer from their own goals and memories, so how you talk matters.

Is there a law career with promotions?

No. LifeSim has no career ladder. The Sims 4 has a law career with levels.
