Is there a game where you can live in Hong Kong?

Hong Kong life simulator

Yes. LifeSim puts you in the real Hong Kong, on a 3D map with the real hills and harbour. You make a character and live day by day. The people have jobs, homes, and friends, and they remember you. It is free and runs in the browser.

Life in Hong Kong

Hong Kong has three main parts: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories. People live in tall towers, take the MTR and the ferry, and eat at small cafés. A life here can be a banker in Central or a market seller in Mong Kok.

How it works

  1. Describe your character in one text box. Name Hong Kong in the text.
  2. The game reads the city from your text and puts you in the real Hong Kong, on a 3D map.
  3. Live day by day. Go to real places, meet people, and talk to them in your own words.

Questions

Can I go up Victoria Peak in LifeSim?

Yes. The 3D map has the real hills of Hong Kong Island. Search for Victoria Peak and go there.

Is the game in Cantonese?

No. LifeSim is in English. English is also an official language in Hong Kong, so the street names in English are easy to find.

Can I live in Kowloon instead of on the island?

Yes. Name any area in your character text, such as Mong Kok or Tsim Sha Tsui. The game starts your life there.
