inZOI jobs

Open the Career app on the phone of your Zoi, and go to the Recruitment tab. The tab lists the jobs in the town, the open positions, and their availability. This is the method that the Sims Community guide describes.

A patch on April 29, 2026 added a step for the new careers. The Zoi must first apply for an interview, and then impress the interviewer. The patch notes say that the new careers need this step.

We opened four pages on October 13, 2026. Three guides date from March to May 2025. The patch notes date from April 2026. Pay numbers and rules changed between them, so this post marks the date of each fact.

The Sims Community page lists the patch notes of April 29, 2026. These are the changes that touch work.

• New careers in all cities: Researcher, IT Developer, Architect, Music Producer, and Journalist in Dowon and Bliss Bay. Travel Agent in Cahaya.
• New careers need an interview.
• School and business are now separate from careers. One Zoi can have all three if the schedules do not overlap.
• When schedules clash, school has priority, then career, then business.
• The Zoi gets the salary each day.
• You can register paid leave, sick leave, and remote work on the computer.
• A late Zoi is marked as tardy or absent. This lowers the evaluation. Poor results can lead to a firing.
• A Zoi can retire after the required time at a company. After retirement, the Zoi can receive pension funds.
• A Zoi who is fired, leaves, or retires receives severance pay.

The page says that a save from before the patch updates its career data when you load it. Companies can also declare a holiday for all staff, and they can assign overtime.

The Sims Community guide of 2025 splits the jobs in two kinds.

On-site jobs

You follow your Zoi to the work place, and you do the work steps during the shift. This speeds up the promotions. The guide says that a Zoi can rise one level in a few days.

Off-site jobs

You cannot play the Zoi during the shift. You choose the daily work with the briefcase icon next to the portrait, and chance cards can change the progress. Promotion depends on attendance. The guide advises you to arrive on time, to stay for the full shift, and to miss no day. A promotion can take a week or more.

The Zoi leaves one hour before a shift. For a shift at 9 AM, the Zoi leaves at 8 AM. Most jobs run 3 to 5 days each week.

The two 2025 guides give the pay for each day. The numbers are the same for most careers. The pay is from the launch period, and the 2026 patch changed the work system. Use the table for a rough order of size, not as a promise.

Both guides list the Attorney, Developer, Reporter, Soldier, and University Professor careers with the same numbers. Both list the Office Worker, Gangster, and Pro Gamer ranks with the same numbers.

The two guides list part-time jobs, and here they disagree. The guides show different pay for the same jobs.

• Fast food (Golden Apple Burger): Gfinity lists a cashier at 200 and a cook at 300. Sims Community lists a cashier at 270.
• Surf shop (Posey’s Surf Shop): Gfinity lists 210 and 315. Sims Community lists 360 and 918.
• Convenience store (AZ Convenience Store, Dowon): both guides list a cashier at 360 and a manager at 918.
• Deli (Dowon Deli): both guides list a cashier at 540.

The guides do not explain the gap. The likely reason is a patch between the two dates, but we cannot confirm that. If a part-time wage matters to your plan, read the number in the Career app.

Esports.net says that a Zoi needs money for activities. The money is called Meow. At launch, the guide calls a paid job the main source of money.

We tried a wiki page about other ways to earn, but its server refused our request. We cannot list those ways here. The search result text for that page mentions creative skills, such as painting. We did not open the page, so we do not use it as a fact.

The patch of 2026 adds a new source. After a Zoi retires, the Zoi can receive pension funds. A fired or retired Zoi also receives severance pay.

• The current pay of each career. The newest pay table that we opened is from May 2025.
• The pay of the new careers of 2026. The patch notes list the careers but not the pay.
• The amount of a pension, and the time that a Zoi needs to retire.
• Which job is the best. No guide that we opened ranks the jobs for profit.

inZOI gives you ranks, shifts, and a salary. LifeSim does not work like a job board. You live one life on a real map of Earth, in a real city that you pick. The people around you talk in their own words, and they remember what you do.
