Is inZOI worth it?
It depends on what you need. inZOI is worth it if you accept an unfinished game, you have a computer that meets the requirements, and you wish to see a 3D life sim that is still in the making. It is not worth it yet if you need a finished game, a console version, or play with no internet.
The Steam page shows a price of $39.99 on the day that we opened it, October 10, 2026. The game is in Early Access. The Steam reviews are positive, but not as positive as at the start.
You read this on the LifeSim blog. We make a different game. We say at the end where LifeSim does not fit, and where inZOI wins.
What do you get with inZOI today?
The Steam page gives these facts.
- The game came out in Early Access on March 27, 2025.
- The price is $39.99. The page also shows a bundle with the game Dinkum at 7% off.
- The store lists text in English and 14 other languages.
- The store lists a Windows version and a Mac version.
- One DLC is listed: inZOI: Island Getaway. It is free.
The developers say on the page that they plan to improve the game “throughout Early Access for at least a year.” They say that the roadmap may change. They also say that the game is sold at a discounted price during Early Access. The page does not state the price after Early Access.
What full release should add
The Steam page says that the full game should be more stable. It lists a structured update plan, new cities, wider customization, and more gameplay content. These are plans. They are not part of the game today.
What do the Steam reviews say about inZOI?
The Steam page shows two review scores on the day that we opened it.

What is missing from inZOI?
Three gaps matter to buyers. Each one has a source.
A console version
The Steam page lists no console version. In a post dated May 15, 2026, the team writes that it plans to release inZOI for PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2027. The post says that the team redesigns the console version for the DualSense controller and for a TV. It says that the PC version stays in Early Access. The post does not mention Xbox. Play with no internet
Players in a Steam thread from March 2025 say that the game needs an internet connection and that an offline mode is planned. The thread has no developer reply. Read can you play inZOI offline?
Play with friends

Should you wait for version 1.0?
Wait if you dislike bugs and missing features. Buy now if you wish to watch the game grow, or if you want to use the free content that the team adds during Early Access.
In March 2025, Game Rant reported that Krafton, the publisher, committed to free DLC during Early Access. The article lists a first free DLC for August 2025. It also lists plans for a ghost play mode, swimming, a family tree, and a build assistant that uses AI. Those were plans on the date of that article. The Steam page today lists one DLC, and it is free. Check the Steam page to see which plans came true.
A simple rule
- Read the Steam page and the negative reviews.
- Check the requirements against your computer.
- Decide whether you need a finished game.
- If you are not sure, wait for a sale or for version 1.0.
Game Rant says that it is unclear if the price changes at full release. The Steam page says only that the game is discounted in Early Access. So the price may rise. A price at full release is not stated on any page that we opened.
Who should buy inZOI now?
Buy inZOI now if three things are true.
- Your computer meets the requirements in the table above, or you own an Apple M1 Mac or better.
- You accept bugs and missing features, as the Early Access notice states.
- You play on a computer and always have a connection.
Do not buy it now if you need a finished game, a console version, or a game that works with no connection. Wait for the console post of the team, or for version 1.0. A Steam refund is a safety net, but we did not check the current refund rules. Read them on the Steam help pages.
What a free DLC tells you
The only DLC on the Steam page is free. The team promised free content in Early Access, according to Game Rant. This DLC is one example. It does not show what the paid content will cost after version 1.0.
How does inZOI compare with other life sims?

LifeSim is a different kind of game. It is free, and it runs in a browser.
