The Curious trait is a bonus and reward trait for horses in The Sims 4. It comes with the Horse Ranch pack. Horses can get this trait through breeding.

This trait boosts how fast your horse learns specific physical skills. It multiplies both Agility and Jumping skill gain by 1.25. It does not add any moodlets or special interactions.

What the Curious horse trait changes in play

A horse with the Curious trait learns two skills faster than usual. It gets a ×1.25 multiplier to Agility skill gain and a ×1.25 multiplier to Jumping skill gain. These hidden multipliers multiply together with any other active skill effects.

This trait does not change your horse's emotions. It adds no moodlets and does not replace any existing moodlets. In addition, 0 interactions check for the Curious trait during gameplay.

Who it suits and how horses get it

The Curious trait works for Child, Adult, and Elder horses. It suits players who want to train their horses in Jumping and Agility quickly. It has no conflicts with other traits.

You get this trait naturally by breeding a horse. No interactions give this trait during regular play.

You can also add or remove the trait in Live mode using the cheat console. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac to open the box. Type traits.equip_trait trait_Horse_Gameplay_Curious to add it, or traits.remove_trait trait_Horse_Gameplay_Curious to remove it. You do not need to turn on testingcheats true for these commands.
