What a banker life looks like in LifeSim
You play a retail branch banker or an investment analyst in a real city, one day at a time. Your coworkers, clients, and branch manager have their own routines, goals, and memories. If you help a local business owner structure a loan application, they remember it next week.
Real banking runs on strict rules like KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and dual control for vaults. In LifeSim, you bring these details into your daily chats and text messages. You can talk a retired regular customer out of a wire transfer scam, or debate underwriting terms with your boss.
When your shift ends in Canary Wharf or Lower Manhattan, you step onto the real 3D map. You can plan an outing with analysts to a real café, or attend a birthday party happening nearby. As the days pass, your character ages through life stages, and each day ends with a recap.
How to become a banker in LifeSim
LifeSim has no career ladder, job performance score, or promotion menu. You do not click a button to study for a Series 7 exam or earn a fixed salary. Instead, you write your exact starting role in the character description box.
You can start as a twenty-two-year-old teller balancing cash drawers or a senior partner on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich. To change your role later, you use life goals, your daily to-do list, and conversations with your cast. You can edit your boss in the cast menu and ask them for a new role in your own words.
A sample life: a junior analyst in New York
Marcus, 24, starts as a junior investment banker in New York City, working near Wall Street in Lower Manhattan. He sets a life goal to survive his first corporate merger and adds ledger audits to his daily to-do list. On Friday evening, his senior director texts him about a hidden debt liability in a target company.
Marcus spends Saturday talking with his team in a group text thread to fix the financial model before Monday. On Sunday, a friend invites him on an outing to a real park in Midtown to rest. His coworkers remember the late weekend hours when they talk to him the next week.
Prompts that work for a banker character
Name your age, your specific banking role, your city, and one detail about your daily work. For a branch role, write "Elena, 28, a personal banker in Frankfurt, Germany, who helps families with mortgage underwriting." The game reads the city name and places you in the real Bankenviertel district.
For a corporate story, try "Devon, 35, an investment banker in London, UK, working on a merger in Canary Wharf." If you want a local community story, write "Sam, 42, a commercial loan officer in Toronto, Canada, helping a small bakery on Bay Street."
