Is there an Australian life simulator game?
Australia life simulator
Yes. LifeSim puts you in real Australian cities and towns on a 3D map of Earth. You make a character, talk to locals who remember you, and live day by day. It is free and runs in your browser with no download.

Full-time workers in Australia usually work a 38-hour week and get four weeks of paid leave each year. Most families live in suburban houses with backyards and spend Saturdays at children's sports like cricket, netball, or Nippers surf lifesaving. Because Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere, Christmas falls in the middle of summer.
Where to live in Australia
Sydney
Ferry and train commutes across the harbor, fast corporate jobs, and morning ocean swims.
Melbourne
Inner-suburban tram lines, alleyway cafés, live music, and big weekend crowds at football matches.
Brisbane
Warm weather, early riverfront walks, outdoor dining, and elevated timber houses called Queenslanders.
Perth
Sunny afternoons at Indian Ocean beaches and an economy tied to regional mining.
Adelaide
A quiet grid-planned city with green parklands, short commutes, and nearby wine regions.
The Outback
Remote cattle and sheep stations, small mining towns, roadhouses, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Food and going out in Australia
Australian mornings often start at a local café with smashed avocado on toast and a flat white coffee. For a quick lunch, people buy a meat pie or sausage roll from a bakery or petrol station. On weekends, charity stalls outside Bunnings hardware stores sell grilled sausages on white bread with onions.
In the evening, friends meet at a local pub for a chicken parmigiana with hot chips and salad. Along the coast, beachside takeaway shops wrap battered fish and chips in paper and season them with yellow chicken salt. In LifeSim, you can search the 3D map for a real pub, bakery, or beach park and invite friends there.
Which Australian city to pick
For busy city life, pick Sydney or Melbourne. In Sydney, you can play a corporate worker who swims at an ocean beach before work. In Melbourne, you can play a university student who lives in a sharehouse and works as a weekend barista.
For warm weather year-round, pick Brisbane or the Gold Coast. Brisbane has riverfront walks and elevated timber houses called Queenslanders, while the Gold Coast centers on surf beaches and hospitality jobs. If you want a quiet life or a mining story, start in Perth or a remote Outback town.
How other games show life in Australia
Several video games take place in Australia and do specific things very well. If you want farming and town building in the bush, play Dinkum. If you want to drive cars along the Great Ocean Road and the Outback, Forza Horizon 3 does that well.
Unpacking tells a story through unpacking boxes in Australian bedrooms and sharehouses, while Broken Roads is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game in the Wheatbelt. LifeSim does not have farming mini-games, driving, or room interiors. Instead, it gives you a real 3D map of every Australian street and free-text conversations with the people there.
A sample life: a Melbourne sharehouse
Liam, 19, moves from a quiet country farming town to an inner-suburban street in Melbourne for university. He writes this into his character text and sets two life goals: pass his first year and find a weekend café job.
On Tuesday, Liam searches the map for a café near his street and walks there to ask the manager for work. They talk in their own words, and Liam gets a Saturday shift making flat whites. That evening, his housemate starts a group text and invites Liam to a local pub for dinner.
On Saturday night, a house party happening appears on the map a few streets away. Liam goes with his housemates, meets the neighbors, and talks about the weekend football match. The day ends with a recap, and everyone keeps a memory of the night.
Customs and local words for your character
School runs from late January to mid-December, so Christmas and the long school holidays happen in the middle of summer. Families celebrate Christmas with cold seafood, salads, pavlova, and backyard cricket. In daily life, tipping is not expected, and the tax is already included in the menu price.
You can use local words when you talk or text in the game. Call the afternoon the arvo, a petrol station a servo, and a liquor store a bottle-o. Skilled manual workers like plumbers and electricians are called tradies, and a pickup truck is a ute.

How it works
- Describe your character in one text box. Name a city or town in Australia in the text.
- The game reads the place from your text and puts you there, on a 3D map of the real streets.
- Live day by day. Go to real places, meet people, and talk to them in your own words.
Questions
Can I live in any Australian city or Outback town?
Yes. Type any city or town in your character description, from Sydney to a small town in the Outback. The game reads the name and puts you on the real 3D map.
Can I drive a ute or ride the Melbourne trams in the game?
No. LifeSim does not have vehicles you drive or trains and trams you ride. You search for a real station or shop on the map and walk there.
Can I work a FIFO mining job or be a tradie?
Yes. Write the job into your character text, such as an electrician in Perth. There is no salary system, so your chats and daily goals shape the job.
Can I buy a house or decorate rooms in Australia?
No. LifeSim has no home buying, mortgages, rent, or room interiors. Buildings show from the outside only on the 3D map.
What does bring a plate mean in Australia?
If a neighbor asks you to bring a plate to a barbecue, bring a dish of food to share. Do not bring an empty plate.
