A parcel van driver at the Memphis hubHow to play a delivery driver in LifeSim
- Describe your driver in the text box with a name, age, city, and whether they deliver parcels or food.
- Edit your cast to add a depot supervisor, a warehouse friend, or a regular customer on your route.
- Use place search to find real restaurants, offices, and streets on the 3D map and walk your route.
- Text coworkers during your shift, set daily to-do items, and plan outings with friends after work.
A first week as a courier in New York
Mateo, 24, works as an e-bike food courier, known locally as a deliverista, in Manhattan. He starts his dinner rush waiting for orders near a noodle shop in the garment district. He uses place search to find the restaurant and walks there on the 3D map. While waiting at the pickup window, he meets another courier named Lin.
Mateo and Lin start a group text thread to share tips about locked apartment lobbies and busy streets. On Friday, a customer leaves a family ring inside Mateo's insulated thermal bag by mistake. Mateo puts "return the lost ring" on his daily to-do list. He and Lin track the customer down at an office reception desk in the financial district.
Late shifts, heavy boxes, and route rescues
Real delivery drivers face tight time windows, locked lobbies, hidden house numbers, and bad weather. Parcel drivers climb in and out of vans hundreds of times and haul heavy boxes up stairs. When a coworker falls behind schedule, a supervisor can ask you to do a rescue and take half their totes.
You can play out all of this friction in your daily chats and activities. A strict boss at the sorting hub can text you about packages marked RTS, or Return to Station. A rival courier can compete with you for orders during the lunch rush. Stress and long hours can lower your health, while finishing a busy shift can raise your cash.
Prompts that work for a delivery driver life
You start by describing your driver in one text box with a name, age, job, and city. Specific logistics details give the people around you better routines and goals. You can also edit your cast to add a dispatcher, a warehouse clerk, or a regular customer.
Try writing, "Devon, 28, a step-van parcel driver at the FedEx SuperHub in Memphis, Tennessee, who knows every street." For a food courier, write, "Chloe, 21, a late-night moped courier in London, United Kingdom, who works the dinner rush." For a veteran life, write, "Kenji, 58, a Yamato Transport Takkyubin driver in Tokyo, Japan, training a rookie before retirement."
Life after you park at the depot
The best part of delivery work is leaving the job behind when the cargo bay is empty. Once you return your empty totes and plug in your scanner, the evening is yours. Your friends and family have their own weekday and weekend routines on the map.
Friends text you on their own to invite you out after your shift. You can plan an outing to a real park or café, walk there together, and talk as a group. You can also join happenings on the map, like karaoke, birthday drinks, or a pickup game. Your character ages day by day, so you can build a family or change careers later.
