Your Sim earns the 3 hours versions through interactions like Babble, Blow Raspberry, Bounce, Cuddle, Entertain, and Play Peek-a-Boo. Kiss and Kiss Goodnight also grant these versions, which last 180 Sim minutes.

Other interactions give a version that lasts 4 hours, or 240 Sim minutes. You can trigger this longer buff with Hug, Hug Lovingly, Share the Love, Snuggle, or Tuck In.

Your Sim can also get a 4 hours version from Read to Child, Make Funny Faces, Black Earbuds, or Pan for Crystals. None of the 6 versions apply hidden multipliers, and no traits change how they work.

How to remove or avoid the Loved moodlet

You can avoid the Loved moodlet by skipping the affectionate and caregiving interactions that cause it. If your Sim already has the buff, you can wait 3 hours or 4 hours in Sim time for the timer to expire.
