Maya, 26, starts her first month as a primate keeper at the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park. She sets a life goal to target train an aging silverback gorilla for an arthritis injection. On her daily to-do list, she writes down tasks like chopping papaya in the diet kitchen.

During her first week, she texts her supervisor about building puzzle feeders from PVC pipes and firehose strips. On Saturday, Maya plans an outing with two fellow keepers to a cafe near Balboa Park. Her coworkers remember the gorilla stories she tells them and ask for updates on Monday.

You play out the career of a zookeeper as a story, one day at a time. There are no cleaning mini-games or animal models on screen. Instead, your work happens through your daily goals and your conversations with your cast.

You can edit your boss and coworkers to create a full zoo staff. People keep a journal of past events, so your team remembers if a shift goes badly. As years pass, your character ages and can mentor younger keepers.

Your morning starts early in London before the public arrives at Regent's Park. You check your calendar and use place search to walk your character to London Zoo. Outside the historic buildings, you talk in your own words with a coworker about mucking out the hoofstock barn.

In the afternoon, a group text thread buzzes with news of a missing tortoise and a Code Red drill. After work, you check the map for happenings and join a birthday drinks event at a pub in Camden. The day ends with a recap of your moments.
