Sims 4 career cheats

Type testingcheats true. Then type careers.promote and the name of the career, such as careers.promote Doctor. Each code gives one promotion. Type careers.demote with the same name to go down one level.

Your Sim must already have the career. Select the Sim before you type the code. The table below gives the exact name for each career.

The names come from GamesRadar+ and GGRecon. We list only the names that both guides give. The packs come from the Sims Wiki.

Part-time jobs

A career from a pack works only if you have that pack. Read Sims 4 expansion packs to see what each pack adds.

A text box opens at the top of the screen. Type testingcheats true and press Enter. For more codes, read our Sims 4 cheats list.

• careers.add_career [career name]: your Sim joins the career.
• careers.remove_career [career name]: your Sim quits the career.

Use the names from the table. For example, careers.add_career Doctor gives your Sim the Doctor career. GGRecon says to keep the PartTime_ part of the name for a part-time job. Then use careers.promote to move up.

We did not find one. With testingcheats true on, you can shift-click a Sim on PC and Mac. The Sims Wiki lists the options of that menu. None of them promotes a Sim.

The menu has one career option: “Career Gigs Picker (Debug)”. It opens a list of career gigs, for careers that use gigs. For a normal career, use the code.

On a console, yes. EA says that a code that needs testingcheats true turns off achievements and trophies in your current save. Your other saves keep them.

EA does not say what happens on a PC or a Mac. To keep your achievements safe, use cheats in a copy of your save.

• You did not type testingcheats true first.
• Your Sim does not have the career. Use careers.add_career first.
• You selected the wrong Sim. The code works on the Sim that you control.
• You do not have the pack of the career.
• You typed the name that the game shows. Some careers need a different name. Politician is Activist, and Scientist is adult_active_Scientist.
• You typed a space after the dot. Type careers.promote with no space.

The code gives one level each time. To reach the top, type it again for each level.

Teens can have part-time jobs. Use the part-time names in the table.

Our two sources give different names for it. We list only names that we could check twice.
