MCCC for The Sims 4

MCCC Sims 4 guide: what MC Command Center does, where to download it safely, how to install and update it, and how to fix it when it does not show.

What is MCCC in The Sims 4?

MCCC (MC Command Center) is a free script mod for The Sims 4 on PC and Mac. A modder called Deaderpool makes it. It controls the Sims that you do not play: who marries, who has babies, who moves in, and much more.

Download it only from the official site, deaderpool-mccc.com. The current version is 2026.5.0. Deaderpool tested it with the game patch of September 22, 2026 (PC 1.128.90.1030, Mac 1.128.90.1230). We checked the site on October 14, 2026.

How do you install MC Command Center?

1Download the zip file from the Download MCCC page of deaderpool-mccc.com. The file has a name like McCmdCenter_AllModules_2026_5_0.zip.
2Unzip it. Do not put the zip file itself in the Mods folder.
3Make a folder called MCCC in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods.
4Move the .ts4script and .package files into that folder. You must have mc_cmd_center.ts4script. The other modules are optional.
5Start the game. Open Game Options, then Other. Turn on “Enable Custom Content and Mods” and “Script Mods Allowed.”
6Close the game and start it again.

The folder depth is important. The game looks for script mods only one folder deep. Mods\MCCC works. Mods\Script Mods\MCCC does not work, and you get no error message.

When the game starts, MCCC shows a message with its version and the modules that it loaded. If you see this message, the install worked.

How do you open the MCCC settings in game?

  • Settings: click a computer on the lot, and choose “MC Command Center”. Or open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C and type mc_settings.
  • Commands for one Sim: click a Sim, and choose “MC Command Center”. The console command is mccc.
  • Cheats: click the mailbox, and choose “MC Cheats”. The console command is mc_cheats.
  • Help: type mc_help to see a list of all MCCC console commands.

What do players use MCCC for?

The download has many modules. Each module is a separate file. These are the ones that most players use.

  • Story progression (mc_pregnancy, mc_population): Sims in the town marry, have babies, and age up without you. Homeless Sims move into empty houses.
  • Pregnancy (mc_pregnancy): set how often town Sims get pregnant. Set “Pregnancy Percentage” to 0 to stop it.
  • Careers (mc_career): settings for jobs and careers.
  • Cheats (mc_cheats): cheats for the world and for one Sim, in a menu. You do not type codes.
  • Control (mc_control): give some orders to Sims that are not in your household.
  • Cleaner (mc_cleaner): removes homeless ghosts and fixes married names.

MC Woohoo is a separate download. It needs MC Command Center to work. For other mods that players like, read the best Sims 4 mods.

Where can you download MCCC safely?

Use deaderpool-mccc.com. The FAQ says that MCCC is free. Deaderpool also posts it on Patreon, on the MCCC Discord server, and on CurseForge about one week after each release.

Many other sites copy the name “MC Command Center”. Some of them have old versions, and we cannot check what their files contain. A script mod runs code on your computer, so get it from the person who makes it.

Patreon supporters get test versions early. You do not have to pay. When the public version comes out, change to it.

How do you update MCCC after a game patch?

  1. Check the Download MCCC page for a version that matches your game patch.
  2. Delete all the old MCCC .ts4script and .package files.
  3. Keep mc_settings.cfg, mc_tuner.cfg, and mc_dresser.cfg. They keep your settings.
  4. Unzip the new files into the same folder.
  5. Start the game. Check that the two mod settings are still on. A game patch can turn them off.

The download page says that each version should also work with later patches, unless a post says otherwise. Older game versions often do not work with a new MCCC.

Why does MCCC not show up?

  • No menu and no welcome message: the folder is too deep, or “Script Mods Allowed” is off.
  • Welcome message, but no menu: your MCCC version does not match your game version. Get the latest version.
  • A LastException file: an old or broken mod stops MCCC from loading. Move all other mods out of the Mods folder. Test MCCC alone. Then add the other mods back in halves until you find the bad one.
  • Modules missing from the Script Mods list: put the MCCC files directly in the Mods folder. If that works, delete resources.cfg in the Mods folder. The game makes a new one.
  • “Permission denied” and a OneDrive path: OneDrive sync blocks the settings file. Stop OneDrive sync for the Sims 4 folder.

The troubleshooting page also lists mods that conflict with MCCC. One example is any “sticky clothes” mod, because MCCC has that feature. For more help, Deaderpool runs a Discord server with an error support channel.

Where does LifeSim fit?

Many players install MCCC so that the town lives without them. LifeSim is a free life sim in your browser set on a real map of Earth, where people talk back in your own words. It has no mods. It is a different kind of game, not a replacement for The Sims 4. Read games like The Sims or more on life simulators.

Is MCCC free?

Yes. Patreon only gives early test versions.

Does MCCC need any packs?

No. The download page says that it needs no expansion packs or game packs. For the packs themselves, see Sims 4 expansion packs.

Does MCCC work on Mac?

Yes. The download page lists a supported Mac game version.

Can I use MCCC on PlayStation or Xbox?

No. The console versions do not load mods. Use the normal Sims 4 cheats instead.

Do I lose my settings when I update?

No, if you keep the .cfg files in the folder. MCCC updates them for the new version.
