The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits guide

Adventure Awaits is an expansion pack for The Sims 4. It came out on October 2, 2025. EA sells it for $39.99. It adds Getaways, Custom Venues, Imaginary Friends, four new skills, and a new world called Gibbi Point.

We took the facts below from the EA page of the pack. We opened it on October 14, 2026. Where a fact comes from another site, we say so.

The EA page does not name the world. The Xbox store and Sims Community name it Gibbi Point. The EA page lists PC and Mac. The Xbox store and the PlayStation Store sell the pack for consoles.

A Getaway is a trip of several days away from home. You plan it in the Getaway Planner. You pick the start, the length, the lot, and the activities.

The pack comes with three Getaways:

• Camp Gibbi Gibbi: a sleepaway camp for children.
• Revive & Thrive: a fitness retreat, for rest and exercise.
• Love Highland: a romantic place with a contest.

Rules change how a Getaway plays. There are three kinds: Elimination, Shuffle, and Modifier. In a fitness contest, the Sim with the smallest skill gain goes home after each round. Modifier Rules include Love is In the Air and Everyone Hates Each Other.

A Custom Venue is a lot type that you design. Choose Custom Venue from the list in Build Mode. Then build the lot, and choose the activities and the roles, such as camp counselor.

You do not have to start from nothing. The pack has venues to build from. You can also download venues that other players share in the Gallery.

• Formative Moments: challenges in four groups, Inquisitiveness, Social, Independence, and Adventure. They give benefits for life. A Social challenge can help a Sim rise faster as an Entertainer later.
• Childhood Sentiments: long feelings about people, which can change when the Sim grows up.
• Imaginary Friends: four dolls with four personalities, Goofball, Competitive, Creative, and Evil.
• Games: Hide & Seek and Rock Paper Scissors.
• Modular Playgrounds: play sets that you put together as you like.

An adult Sim can still talk to their old Imaginary Friend. They can also say Goodbye Forever.

Children and adults can learn all four new skills.

• Papercraft: make paper toys and decorations, such as planes and origami cranes.
• Entomology: catch butterflies with a net, and raise them from caterpillars.
• Diving: do jumps off the Diving Board.
• Archery: bowfish at fishing spots, or shoot an apple off the head of a Sim.

Park Worker is a career with 10 levels. Your Sim can be away for up to 3 days at a time. Teens can start it, but they stop at level 5 until they age up. For fast skill tips, read the Sims 4 skills guide.

Kayaks, Spin Bikes, and Free Weights train the Fitness skill. A Blender makes smoothies. The pack also adds a Water Slide.

Buy it if you play families with children. Most of the new systems are for kids. Buy it also if you like to build, because Custom Venues let you design your own camps and contests.

Think twice if you want one large new system, such as magic or a new life state. The pack is a mix of smaller features.

KeenGamer liked the new world in its review. The Xbox store has sold the pack below $39.99 at times. Check for a sale before you buy. Compare it with other packs in our list of Sims 4 expansion packs.

• The pack does not show in the game. Update The Sims 4 first. EA says that the pack needs all game updates. Read how to install Sims 4 packs.
• Your Sim does not come home from work. This is normal for a Park Worker. A shift can last up to 3 days.
• Your teen cannot get a promotion. Teens stop at level 5 in the Park Worker career.
• Old mods break the new features. Remove your mods, test, then add them back one by one. Read our Sims 4 mods guide.

LifeSim is a free life sim in your browser set on a real map of Earth, where people talk back in your own words. It has no Getaway Planner and no build mode. It is a different kind of game. For more games of this kind, read games like The Sims or try the life simulator.

Does Adventure Awaits work without other packs?

Yes. It needs only The Sims 4 base game with all updates.

Can adults go on Getaways?

Yes. Revive & Thrive is a fitness retreat, and Love Highland is a romantic contest. Camp Gibbi Gibbi is the camp for children. You can also plan your own Getaway.
