The Sims 4 satisfaction points cheat

Use sims.give_satisfaction_points to add points to a Sim in The Sims 4. The exact steps, what the points buy, and why the cheat sometimes fails.

What is the satisfaction points cheat in The Sims 4?

The cheat is sims.give_satisfaction_points [number]. Open the cheat box, type testingcheats true, and then type the cheat with a number. The points go to the active Sim. You spend them in the Rewards Store.

Change 5000 to the number of points that you want. The cheat is on the official EA cheat list. It works in the base game, with no pack.

How do you open the cheat console?

How do you use the cheat, step by step?

  1. Save the game first.
  2. Select the Sim that should get the points. That Sim is now the active Sim.
  3. Open the cheat box.
  4. Type testingcheats true and press Enter.
  5. Type sims.give_satisfaction_points 5000 and press Enter.
  6. Close the box. Open the Aspiration panel and check the new total.

Points belong to one Sim. They are not shared by the household. To give points to a second Sim, select that Sim and type the cheat again.

What do satisfaction points buy?

You spend points in the Rewards Store. To open it, select the gift icon on the Aspiration panel. EA says that the store sells two kinds of reward: potions and reward traits.

Reward traits

A reward trait is permanent. A Sim can buy each one only once. Some examples are Steel Bladder, Marketable, and Never Weary. Never Weary costs 10,000 points, and a Sim with it does not need sleep. EA calls the reward traits very powerful.

Potions

A potion works one time, but you can buy it again. EA says that potions can change the weight or the current emotion of a Sim. Others fill needs. The Potion of Youth takes the Sim back in age.

The store lists the price of each reward. Look at the price before you choose a number for the cheat.

How do you earn satisfaction points without the cheat?

  • Complete aspiration goals. Each goal shows its points when you hover over it.
  • Complete Wants. Turn them on in Game Options first.
  • Finish scenarios. Some scenarios give points to each Sim.
  • Survive nights in the haunted house. This needs the Paranormal Stuff pack.

Does the cheat turn off achievements?

On a console, yes. EA says that every cheat that needs testingcheats true turns off Achievements and Trophies in that save. Your other saves keep them. This cheat needs testingcheats true, so use a separate save if you hunt trophies.

Why does the satisfaction points cheat not work?

  • You did not type testingcheats true first.
  • You typed a space in place of the dot. The code is sims.give_satisfaction_points, with a dot after “sims”.
  • You left out the underscores, or you left out the number.
  • You typed a comma in the number. Type 5000, not 5,000.
  • You selected the wrong Sim. The points go to the active Sim only.
