Sims 4 relationship cheats

The cheat is modifyrelationship. First type testingcheats true. Then type the full names of two Sims, a number, and the name of a relationship track. The number goes from -100 to 100.

Replace the names with the names of your own Sims. The pet track needs the Cats & Dogs expansion pack, because pets come from that pack.

A text box opens at the top of the screen. Type testingcheats true and press Enter. For the other codes in the game, read our Sims 4 cheats list.

The code has five parts, in this order:

1. modifyrelationship
2. The first name and the last name of the first Sim.
3. The first name and the last name of the second Sim.
4. A number from -100 to 100.
5. The track name.

There are two main tracks. LTR_Friendship_Main is the friendship bar. LTR_Romance_Main is the romance bar. A positive number moves a bar up. A negative number moves it down.

Guides do not agree whether the number adds to the bar or sets the bar. If the bar is not full after one code, type the code again. The bar stops at 100.

Several guides say that you must control the first Sim in the code. Select that Sim before you press Enter.

Open the relationships panel of your Sim. It shows the full name of each Sim that your Sim knows. You can also shift-click the Sim and choose “Modify in CAS”. Create a Sim shows the first name and the last name.

Type each name exactly as the game shows it. Check the letters with accents. The code uses spaces to split its parts. So a name with a space inside it can fail. Change that name to one word in Create a Sim.

Yes, on PC and Mac. Type testingcheats true. Then hold Shift and click the other Sim. Gfinity Esports says that the menu has “Cheat Relationship”, and then “Max Friendship”. The guide says that this also works on farm animals.

We found this menu in one guide only. If you do not see it, use the code. The same shift-click menu also has “Add to Family”, which moves a Sim from outside into your household.

On a console, yes. EA says that a code that needs testingcheats true turns off achievements and trophies in your current save. Your other saves keep them.

EA does not say what happens on a PC or a Mac. To keep your achievements safe, use cheats in a copy of your save.

• You did not type testingcheats true first. Type it, and look for the message that cheats are on.
• You typed square brackets or parentheses. Type only the names, with no brackets.
• You typed a first name only. The code needs the first name and the last name of both Sims.
• You spelled a name wrong. Copy it from the relationships panel.
• You typed the track name wrong. Check the underscores in LTR_Friendship_Main.
• You control the wrong Sim. Select the first Sim in the code.

Some guides write the track as LTR_Friendship_main, with a small m. We did not find a source on capital letters. Copy the form in this post, to be safe.

Yes. Type the code with LTR_Romance_Main and 100. Check your romance settings if a Sim refuses romance.

Yes. Type a negative number, such as -100.

Yes, with LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main. You need Cats & Dogs.

Do I need a mod for relationship cheats?

No. The code is in the base game. Some players use Sims 4 mods for more control.
