What is the Your AI Slop Bores Me game?
Your AI Slop Bores Me is a free browser game where real people play the AI. One player types a request, as to a chatbot. A different person answers it in text or with a drawing. No AI writes the answers.
The game is at youraislopbores.me. Know Your Meme, The Daily Dot, futurezone and Open all give this address. The site went viral in early March 2026. Wikipedia gives the launch date as March 2, 2026. Know Your Meme says the launch was on or near March 7, 2026.
Know Your Meme says the goal is to “simulate AI chat applications with real humans”. Wikipedia calls the site a social experiment and a parody of chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude. The Open article says that the makers chose to mock AI slop and not to fight it. The site also has no AI in it, Open says.
Where does the name come from?
The name comes from a meme. Know Your Meme traces it to a version of the “Your Politics Bore Me” image, with a boy on a throne of Pepsi. An anti-AI art group on Facebook posted that version on October 17, 2025. People used it as a reply to posts made with AI.
You read this on the LifeSim blog. We make LifeSim, a different game where you talk to AI people. We say near the end where it fits, and where it does not.
Who made Your AI Slop Bores Me?
Most sources that we checked say that Mihir Maroju made the game. But the sources do not all agree, so check where a name comes from.
- Mihir Maroju. Know Your Meme, Aftermath, futurezone and Open name him. Wikipedia calls him a programmer. It cites Fast Company and a “Genesis” post on the official site blog.
- No name. The Daily Dot article does not name a maker. It quotes an X post from March 7, 2026, by a player who asked people to join the game.
- A different name. One copy site on pages.dev names a developer called “mikidoodle”. We found no news source that confirms this name.
Wikipedia says that Maroju later made the project a team. The team handles the growth, the moderation and the spam. Futurezone says that Maroju calls the game a LARP, a type of roleplay where you act out a part.
How do you play Your AI Slop Bores Me?
You pick one of two roles: the human or the AI. As the human, you spend credits to send a request. As the AI, you answer requests from strangers and earn credits.
The steps
- Open youraislopbores.me in a browser. Wikipedia says that you do not have to make an account.
- Pick “Human” or “AI”. Futurezone describes this choice at the start of the game.
- As the human, type a question or ask for a drawing. The request costs credits. Another player gets it and answers it.
- As the AI, you get a request from a stranger. Write a reply or draw the picture before the timer ends.
- When you have credits again, switch back and send your own request.
Credits and the timer
The rules changed after the launch, so the sources give different numbers. The table shows what each source says.
| Rule | Early reports (March 2026) | Wikipedia (checked November 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Time to answer | 60 seconds | 75 seconds, or 150 seconds in “thinking mode” |
| Credits for one answer | 1 or 2 credits | Answers give back credits |
| Most credits you can keep | 10, then you must switch to human | Free refill stops at 6 |
| Free credits | Not given | 1 at the start. At 0, you get 2 every 10 minutes. |
The early numbers come from The Daily Dot. Aftermath and futurezone also give 60 seconds. Aftermath quotes the old timer text: “you have 60 seconds to fulfill a request before sam altman burns your H100.” Wikipedia says that “thinking mode” costs the person who asks 2 credits.
What do people ask for?
Most requests are short and silly. Aftermath says players often ask for drawings, or for books and TV shows to watch. Wikipedia gives “draw a pink horse” as an example. The Daily Dot says that the game has no right or wrong way to play.
For a chat game that turns this idea around, read about the Human or AI game. There, you chat with a stranger and guess if it is a person or a bot.
What is the official Your AI Slop Bores Me site?
The official site is youraislopbores.me. Note the spelling: the address ends in “bores.me”, with a dot before “me”.
Four sources give this address for the game: Know Your Meme, The Daily Dot, futurezone and Open. Wikipedia also lists it as the official website. The site itself blocked our tool when we tried to open it, so we could not read it.
Is youraislopboresme.com official?
No. The site youraislopboresme.com says that it is an independent fan site. Its words are: “Not affiliated with the original youraislopbores.me game.” It has guides, a vote page and other games. It also shows a card for an AI image tool.
Watch out for copy sites on pages.dev
A search for the game shows many sites on pages.dev with names close to the real one. We saw addresses like youraislopbores.pages.dev, youraislopboresme.pages.dev, your-ai-slop-bores-me.pages.dev and bores-me.pages.dev. Some other pages.dev sites write about the game on blogs for unrelated games.
These sites are not the official game. Some speak as if they are the game. The About page of bores-me.pages.dev calls itself a “free multiplayer browser game”. It names a different developer and has no statement that it is unofficial. Other copy sites only send you to the real address.
Do these things to stay on the real game:
- Type youraislopbores.me yourself. Do not trust a search ad or a short link.
- Do not type passwords or payment details on a site that copies the name.
- Leave a site that asks you to download a file to play.
Is Your AI Slop Bores Me free and safe?
Yes, the game is free to play. You earn credits by answering, and you do not buy them. The Open article says the site has no funding. We found no price on any source.
The game has an age limit and moderation, but strangers write the answers. Futurezone says that players must be 13 or older. It also says that some players send “ragebait”, including unpleasant drawing requests.
Wikipedia says that the team made a code of conduct and a moderation portal. It also says the team runs an official Discord server. The fan site youraislopboresme.com says it cannot promise that the content is right for children. It tells parents to check the moderation rules on the original site.
Tips for safe play
- Do not put your real name, school or address in a request or an answer.
- Skip a request that makes you feel bad. The timer runs out on its own.
- Play only on youraislopbores.me, not on a copy site.
For young children, a game with no open chat is a better choice. Our list of text-based games has single player games with no strangers.
Why did Your AI Slop Bores Me go viral?
The game went viral because the answers from people are funny and strange. Players shared them on X, Tumblr and Bluesky.
Know Your Meme lists three posts from March 7 and 8, 2026. One answer about a skeleton got more than 41,000 likes in a day. A John Lennon drawing got more than 24,000 likes in a day. Another answer got more than 42,000 likes in two days.
Wikipedia says the site had about 50 million hits and about 16,000 people online at the same time in March 2026. It cites Fast Company for these numbers. Wikipedia also says the traffic overloaded the servers for a short time.
The Daily Dot quotes one player who said the site gave them “such an appreciation for humanity”. Open says that the maker told Mashable that people still like “being the AI” more than being human.
What games are like Your AI Slop Bores Me?
Human or Not is the closest game, because it also mixes people and chatbots. Other games let you talk to AI in your own words, but they are not party games with strangers.
| Game | Who answers you | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Your AI Slop Bores Me | A real person who plays the AI | Funny answers and drawings from strangers |
| Human or Not? (humanornot.so) | A person or a bot, and you guess which | A two-minute chat test |
| LifeSim (ours) | AI people in a game world | One life in a real city |
Human or Not?
On humanornot.so, you chat with someone for two minutes. Then you guess if it was a human or an AI. The site says that you can play with no registration. Our Human or AI game post tells the story of the original game from AI21 Labs.
Games where you talk to AI
Some players want the other side: an AI that answers in its own words. Our list of games where you can talk to AI covers these. For a wider list, see AI games. If you like to write a story with an AI character, read our guide to AI roleplay.
Where does LifeSim fit, and where does it not?
LifeSim fits if you want to talk to people in your own words, with no menus of set answers. It does not fit if you want a party game with real humans.
LifeSim is our game. It is free, with no ads, no subscription and nothing to buy. You live one life, a day at a time, in a real city on a 3D map of Earth. You type what you want to say. The people answer in their own words, remember what you said and tell their friends. They also text you. Read more about open text chat.
In LifeSim, AI people answer you, not other players. So LifeSim is the opposite of Your AI Slop Bores Me, where only humans answer. If you want no AI at all, LifeSim is not for you. LifeSim plays in any browser at play.lifesim.com and in an iPhone app.
What we could not verify
- The official site and its blog. Both blocked our tool, so the rules here come from news sources and Wikipedia.
- The current timer and credit rules. The sources give different numbers.
- The exact launch date. Wikipedia says March 2, and Know Your Meme says March 7.
- The Fast Company, Tom’s Guide, Mashable and Notre Dame Observer articles. We could not open them, so we used only what other sources quote from them.
- Reddit threads about the game. Reddit did not load for us.
- The developer name “mikidoodle” on one copy site. No news source confirms it.
