Nectar Making skill

Nectar Making is a minor skill with 5 levels. You only need 100 skill points to reach level 1. Moving to level 2 requires 1,440 additional points, bringing your total to 1,540 points.

The point requirements grow much larger at the higher levels. Level 3 takes 2,160 points from the level before, and level 4 takes 3,600 more points. The biggest jump happens at level 5, which asks for 5,280 points and a total of 12,580 points.

Your Sim's emotion changes how fast you gain skill points. Being Energized gives a 1.4 multiplier, while Very Energized gives a 1.6 multiplier. Avoid practicing while Sad or Very Sad, because those emotions drop your multiplier to 0.8 and 0.6.

Specific traits and moodlets also multiply your skill gain. The Physically Gifted trait adds a 1.25 multiplier, and the Wild trait gives 1.15. You can also get a 1.5 multiplier from the Dedication or Perfected moodlets.

Several multipliers can work together at the same time. Culinary Brilliance adds a 1.3 multiplier, Culinary Insight gives 1.2, and Culinary Spark gives 1.1. General skill boosts like Snaggle Flustered multiply your gain by 4, while Parental Guidance multiplies it by 3.

Each level after the first unlocks new nectar recipes for your Sim. Level 2 unlocks 2 recipes, Potato Nectar and Strawberry Nectar. Level 3 adds 2 more, which are Prairie Grass Nectar and Trash Nectar.

Level 4 gives you 4 recipes, including Energy Nectar, Moonpetal Nectar, Plasma Nectar, and Valerian Nectar. At level 5, you unlock 3 final recipes: Berry Nectar, Fruit Nectar, and Vitality Nectar. No careers or gated interactions ask for this skill.

You can skip the work by using a cheat in Live mode. Open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C on PC, or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true, then enter stats.set_skill_level statistic_Skill_AdultMinor_RanchNectar 5 to reach level 5.
