Brave is a bonus and reward trait in The Sims 4 base game. You get it for human Sims from the Rewards Store.

This trait turns two specific Scared moodlets into Confident moodlets. It does not change career pay, skills, or social interactions.

Brave cheat

Open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C and type the line. It works without testingcheats. It gives the trait to the Sim you control (how traits.equip_trait works).

What the Brave trait changes in gameplay

The Brave trait works by replacing two specific Scared moodlets with Confident ones. When your Sim would get the Yikes moodlet, they get No Sweat instead. Both moodlets have a weight of 1 and last 3 hours in Sim time.

When your Sim would get the NOPE nope nope nope moodlet, they get I Own the Night instead. Both moodlets have a weight of 2, which pulls harder toward the Confident emotion. The replacement moodlet lasts 3.5 hours instead of the usual 4 hours.

The trait does not add any constant moodlets or hidden multipliers. It also does not unlock new interactions or boost career pay.

Who gets the Brave trait and how

Human Sims can have the Brave trait at any age, from Newborn to Elder. It does not conflict with any other traits in the game. It suits Sims who want to avoid those two Scared moodlets and build Confidence instead.

You can get this trait from the Rewards Store during gameplay. You can also add or remove it using the cheat console in Live mode. Open the console with Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac.

Type traits.equip_trait trait_Brave to add the trait to your active Sim. Type traits.remove_trait trait_Brave to take the trait away. These cheats do not need testingcheats true.
